2025-03-19 16:07:25 +0000 UTCI wonder if Santa Claus Left Me No Goods was originally meant to be Santa Claus Is Coming To Hood, which was the second track for their Christmas digital single album, but they could not release it, because of its controversial name. Like… as if they re-recorded and renamed it for this release, because thematically it feels a bit out of nowhere. Well… maybe the connection there could be that the dad did not give a fuck and neither Santa Claus. It is hard to rank this special album, because I appreciate what they were going for (and they managed to do so 100%), but at the same time it is not meant to be an album you would come back and relisten again and again in the way of something being catchy and you come back for that. It is more like: “If you are on the vibe of playing Cold (as the song), you can feel free to extend that experience with the rest here”. Basically as if the special album was an extended version of the Cold song. Which is interesting considering it ending with Cold YPS Colder version 🤔🤔
