It sounds obvious when I write it, but most shows like that (not going to mention names cause spoilers) end up with the person being "cured" and it feels a bit shitty that that's what happens almost every time. I love love love this show, on every aspect.

2025-04-17 20:53:49 +0000 UTCDeaf people who aren't born deaf and turn (fully) deaf at some point in their life retain their ability to speak but it doesn't always carry on forever. At some point, most of the time at least, they gradually forget how to speak like a hearing person does. If you can't hear yourself, it's just not the same, you can't just keep that skill:/ Theoretically he might be able to speak but probably not clearly and it wouldn't be easy/comfortable for him.

2025-04-17 20:50:39 +0000 UTCI watched this show when it came out and I knew it was good but I was busy so I only watched it till ep 4 and I'm so glad I decided to watch this again with your reaction. This is definitely one of my favorite k-dramas. I don't know if you've seen Our Beloved Summer or if you'd be willing to watch it but I would recommend it. I love romcoms that gives off healing and those two shows belong in the same category for me.

I have so many screenshots of beautiful things they said that I can relate to. Viva La Vida!!🍉 I have a question tho. How did Lee Chan even lose voice? He can still talk after the accident, right? Or does he just not want to talk? I watched a japanese drama (Silent) 3yrs ago, and the guy is also deaf but he can speak but he doesn't want to because he can't hear what he's saying. He's afraid that what he's saying might be wrong.

2025-03-04 13:49:36 +0000 UTCthis show broke me so bad. i love that it was an "earn your happy ending", and i love that the solution to fixing his parents' lives wasn't fixing his parents' disability. sure, he set out to do that, but in the end he fixed their relationships with the people around them and gave them a support system that was able to let them thrive. i sobbed all the way through this episode the first time, and for significant chunks every time after.

I wished we got a little more in the episode, but it looks like they did have to rush it a little in order to wrap all the plot lines up. Nevertheless, still an amazing episode, and an amazing drama. So glad you loved this drama as much as a lot of us do.

2025-02-24 21:23:58 +0000 UTCI’m not sure if you noticed PD, but when Eun Gyeol was looking through that pamphlet of Lee Chan when he was making his speech, it showed in the biography and education section that Lee Chan went to the same school as Cheong Ah. My guess is that once the chairman found out that Lee Chan became deaf, he offered to send them both to study abroad, which would also explain why they managed to stay together.

2025-02-22 19:02:07 +0000 UTCBeautiful show, with an even more beautiful ending. Perfect from start to finish... Couldn't hold my tears this episode... again 😭 The actors were perfect for this show. I knew Choi Hyunwook would kill it obviously but shout out to everyone else. (btw Choi Hyunwook is currently on a new show called My dearest nemesis on viki lmao, it just started airing this week!! Definitely gonna watch it on a weekly basis cause I LOVE this actor so so much) This was the perfect healing show for me, even after watching it for the third time by now. Yes it was heartbreaking, but I had so many great laughs while watching it and so many moments that really made me think. I'm so happy you reacted to this, it was definitely one hell of a ride!!
