Jaehee’s improvement has been a steady upward progress between that and the year-end performances so he’s definitely a stronger vocalist by the stages and probably why you think he does it better during then (although yeah, the mixing plays a part also, but I just want to give him his flowers as he’s been working hard to improve) . Hands Up is their pre-debut song. They were still known as NCT New Team when they released it. What a song to introduce yourselves as a group.

2025-03-31 00:20:00 +0000 UTCI have fallen in the deep hole with WISH, there is something about them as a group which makes them so captivating. For once, as PD said, all of the members are so unique, there is simply no filler members in this group. For me that is so important. Furthermore, the way that they are being promoted is so fresh and you can really see and feel how SM and neo-center (nct's production team) put in time and thought into everything. Nothing is done without some kind of intention. They have an iconic plushie called WiCHU that is becoming their trademark. Fans have it as a keyring, the members have it as a keyring, the staff have it, everyone has it hahah. That trademark thingy is super important, especially as rookies, they need to stand out. I wonder if you are mixing Ryo and Yushi, Yushi sings the most in this group and is what i would say the identity of wish's music. Yushi is the center, main dancer and lead vocalist of the group, he has been training for almost seven years. SIon trained for 5 years. While the others trained for 3 months up to a year - that goes to show their potential. If they are this good now, how great can they become in the future??

If you want to check out some live stages for NCT WISH with RIKU I would say 2024 KCON Japan would be a good place to start. They performed NASA, Hands Up, WISH, and Sail Away. Or, you could check out their official releases "SCHOOL of WISH" stages of NASA+WISH.

BoA was there in the practice room monitoring them and giving critiques. So yes, she's still very much in charge of everything. The Wishies are in good hands!

When they just debuted, I wasn't really attracted to them or their music but after seeing the live stages for Steady, I started getting into them. Me personally, I think Riku Yushi and Jaehee are the unique voices of NCT WISH. Thats why I would 100% hope that you could check out a live stage with RIKU!!! Don't know if you are already aware but BoA is a producer for Wish, everything they do goes through her and she is very involved in their tours too. Also very surprised you called them the best nct unit, they ARE the future for nct, even doyoung and the 127 hyungs have told them this. Their songs are amazing and they are really nice kids, always acting humble and grateful. Hope you enjoy the steady album!

Their music is so fun and nice to listen to. My favorites are for sure CHOO CHOO, Touchdown, Far Away and NASA. I prefer the korean version for Tears are Falling. NASA is incredible, Riku and Sakuya going back to back is for sure my favorite part. I don't know if you're mixing Yushi's and Ryo's voice but they sometimes have a similar tone. For me, i feel like Riku and Yushi have the voices who makes NCT Wish sound, and Jaehee is just the cherry on top. Do you believe he just had a few months of training ?? I feel like you would really love their survival show performances, they are one of the best out here. Why and Lucifer are still suck in my head, Yushi and Sion did not come to play here, and Riku is just incredible, you would fall in love with him 100%. If you are going to react to Lastart be prepared hahaha but you won't regret ! Sion looks like Jaehyun's child tbh especially when he had blond/grey hair ! He is that handsome ! But i also kinda see Taemin here, but so many features just reminds me of Jaehyun's. There is some live stages of some of the songs here, is really recommend to check Touchdown (it's so much better and the choreo is making this sound 10 times better) and CHOO CHOO live stages (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v04otMYuCME&t=750s&ab_channel=KBSKpop) and also Sail Away (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DRXkxtcb2Mg&ab_channel=KBSWORLDTV). I loovvvee this album btw it is great, tears are falling is my fav 💓 i agree with you because even tho wish is the youngest and newst nct unit i think they are they are most balanced unit too! The mixing thing you mentioned during Wish… I feel like they intentionally mixed their voices like this because of them being young and some of their voices were about to be changing. I personally noticed that in more songs with Sakuya’s parts (Sakuya being the maknae born in 2007), I feel like they made his voice deeper to fit his future voice. Wishful Winter is the title track for this album, but I do agree they should have made NASA the title track for their first studio album, it would have been so iconic, but I guess they wanted to fit the Christmas vibe with Wishful Winter. I realized you actually reacted to Hands Up. You reacted to that in the compilation reaction, where you reacted to them (at that time known as NCT New Team) and RIIZE. Choo Choo most likely references to Choo Choo Train, which is ICONIC Japanese song remade by many EXILE Tribe groups (and soloist/s of EXILE Tribe too). It is originally a song by 90s group Zoo, which is a group, where Hiro (the founder of EXILE and EXILE Tribe) first debuted. Considering NCT being kind of like “simpler form of EXILE Tribe”, I think they wanted to pay an homage to this legendary J-Pop act by giving NCT’s Japanese unit this song. Tears Are Falling is the b-side to Song Bird and yes, you watched that. Yushi was praised by BoA during Lastart a lot. Not that Sion is not going to get better anymore, but she and others said Yushi has a really big potential to grow. I get you with your statement of this being an album formed of already released songs… the reason for this was they released a lot of music during last year (as I said before… they released Korean and Japanese comebacks right after each other), so it would have been too much to make a full length album at the very end of the year with all the award shows. + not everything was released physically, so they included it here, so it is more like a mini album with many (literally a half) bonus tracks. My favorite track is NASA, that is simply unbeatable! And of the other tracks… hmm… I lately find myself enjoying Hands Up a lot!

I’ve been obsessed with that song since the performance video and I was hoping there'd be a full version on streaming some day!! I’m not sure I would consider myself a full fan of Wish just yet, but I really like their music and concept/ art direction a lot 💕

2025-02-18 15:25:17 +0000 UTCNow I’m trying to figure out if you’re mixing yushi and Ryo up. In my listening journey, it was harder for me to pull the maknaes Ryo and Sakuya’s singing voices. All I know Sakuya will be the deepest voice in NCT once his voice finally settles. Jaehee is closer to Max Changmin potential and for 19/20 more training will be WILD. BoA is the producer for steady album but can someone confirm she did wishful. Watching her shift to this role and taking care of the Wishies like her children is amazing.

My top three songs have to be NASA, tears are falling and sail away. I fell in love with sail away even more after seeing the live stages. A lot of these songs have live stages that could view at some point if you’d like. I’m pretty sure hands up, sail away, we go, and NASA has a performance video. NASA was actually like RIIZe’s siren, the performance video came out with a shorter version during their debut era but we all heard the full version now with the wishful album.
