Thanks for this listening party, PD! GOT7's Winter Heptagon is such an amazing album and this comeback has been worth the wait. GOT7's bond and artistry on full display. Fave tracks are Tidal Wave, Out the Door and Her (no particular order) but all the tracks are brilliant. Hope you can listen to Yugyeom's TRUST ME album as well!

2025-02-16 18:49:07 +0000 UTCAnd Jinyoung is truly passionate about being a singer and dancer 😂 he never misses any chances to say he’s a “dancing machine” (and his fast forward dance while in military was a hot topic too haha). Even in the MV behind, the members were like “he is an actor” he would answer “I am an idol” - he said it many times he loves both equally so much that he would forever do both at the same time. I think why GOT7 is different than the other legacy groups is that all 7 of them have the same level of passion for growing their own music maturity both as solos and as group even after 10-12 years in the industry

2025-02-14 21:09:23 +0000 UTCI think “superstar” might not be the word, but I would say what makes GOT7 unique is that each of them are very heavily invested in their music. Like all of them, whether they want to continue in their R&B world or pop star world, or actors world, they each really desire to improve upon their own music genres. Not a lot of other legacy groups are like GOT7 where each one of them have been producing music for almost 10 years now. So each of them have their own teams and/or studios. Have their own dance crews etc. (hence they were able to put together a full on comeback and concert within only two months Mark went to Korea 11/27 and the comeback is on 1/20, concert 1/31-2/2). But the key here is all members (not even missing the one who does acting and enlisted in base) are actively making music on their own AND touring around the world within these 3 years of group hiatus. Their music improves so much and that translated perfectly to this album. Jinyoung said he was so happy since the moment hearing all the songs from the members - he didn’t think each of them would be so so good and improved so much. Jayb also said during recording he was so surprised by the members - how much some of them improved. P.S. if you haven’t already - watch JayB’s cloud nine performance. May change your thoughts on him not pursuing “super star” haha!

2025-02-14 21:04:37 +0000 UTCHighly recommend watching their 2/2 concert. They opened their hearts and talked a lot about their group and how each of them feel about each other and the group. I was at the concert for all 3 days and if it wasn’t apparent before the biggest summary I had after the concert is truly, no one loves GOT7 more than GOT7 and the members needed this more than the fans. Especially after each went on their solo journey. Like Jinyoung said, when he looked back to his 20s the biggest “gain” was these friends. And Jackson saying, he would never be able to find friends that can be as pure and simple as the members, especially in this industry. The way he cried for a good hour and how JayB carried sooooo much since pre-debut and in this comeback, and the way he broke down on the first day and last day… And as fans we did not only witness it but were actively part of their journey - after the concert a fan posted how Jackson has always passed the trophy or flower to JayB when they won throughout all these years (as a testament of now we understand why Jackson has always respected JayB so much). JayB saw the video and commented “oh I didn’t know…” it’s like, as fans we let the members know about something they don’t even know about each other and how much Jackson loves him. This bond is truly so unique and this comeback is just, so so nice.

Remember is probably my favorite on the album right now, with Our Youth and Her and second and third but the album as a whole was such a great listen! I hope to see Got7 back as a group sooner but tbh the earliest I think we may see them is 2027 and thats after Yug and Youngjae come back from their military enlistment!

2025-02-13 16:31:58 +0000 UTCso glad you enjoyed this PD! one the of things that surprised and i loved so much was that each respective song made by the members have so much of their individual colour, the fact that they were able to make it into a group song is so amazing. jayb also said that he wanted that feel as well where he asked each member to make a song for the album by giving them an example of their solo songs and i think it really came through with the message that even with their own successful solo careers, they’ll come back as a group as long as the fans wait for them. and you mentioned how well written Her was and since they started making producing their own songs i’ve also always loved jinyoung’s lyricism like his pen is impeccable !! btw fun fact about Tidal Wave since it’s one your faves of this album > it was pushed back from being a title track during NANANA and they were gonna keep it for this album but it got pushed back again into a b-side bc python was just so title-song coded.

I also follow everyone’s solo careers so it’s not like we’re left alone while waiting for a group comeback. I love how Got7 are literally together bc they want to be. They come back together bc they want to not bc they’re bond to a contract. It’s truly amazing and beautiful. So I’ve thoroughly enjoyed this comeback and album. My favorites from the album are tidal wave and darling so far. I’ll wait for their full return in the meantime.

2025-02-12 20:56:12 +0000 UTCthank you for the reaction PD! honestly this album is so good and i love all the individual styles each member brought out but i have to say my favorite songs are out the door and her. those tracks really left me teary eyed. i also love the appreciation of Mark in this album since i feel like his growth is not talked about nearly enough. he's such an underrated songwriter and the lyrics he writes always leaves me speechless so im really happy you mentioned it.

This album feels like a Christmas gift. Fav tracks: out of the door, darling and her. These three just hit me differently but I’ve been listening to the full album since it dropped.

Actually, on their radio guesting each members briefly presented each of the songs they have produced. JAY B gave direction for each member to make a certain style of music for GOT7 album, like Youngjae with his own style, pop for Bambam, rock sound for Mark, etc. They have also uploaded a behind the scene recording process for each songs, though its basically like one or two members recording for 1 song. Thank you so much for this reaction!!
