So would you ever consider making your own critical fumble and critical success tables?

RiverPlasmaHero

I was so against you on swords bard. But it was the only subclass I disagreed I ever disagreed on

For a clip show/flashback episode, gotta say I was really hoping to see the old DD sword transition. ;)

Jan Monk

I have said this as well and would love somewhere - if it doesn’t exist already - a post about their tech set up. I would love to know how they do it. :)

James C Ferguson

2020 was not a kind year to either of us.

Kelly McLaughlin

I'm too nice to say something bad or that you guys did wrong 😂 Instead i want to point out the giant improvment of the video and audio quality as the years go by!

Demetrio Napoli

also not you guys being wrong but when I met you at a con and you had a panel accepting question no one started with hey dudes which I thought was a wasted opportunity

Tobias Wallin

Love the film grain and scratches on the look-backs. Good video!

I still dislike crit roll tables such that I typically refuse to join games/campaigns that use them. I have lost two characters to crit fumbles where they beheaded themselves. I will not make that mistake a third time. I am willing to hear DM's out and am in one where the crit table was modified to exclude such drastic outcomes of rolling a 1 (which in a campaign happens many, many, many times...). I really like the idea of a more nuanced crit fumble table, but it must be balanced by an equally nuanced crit hit table.

I think Graze is more middling than either of your takes. As you said, advantage is cheap. If you have advantage on an attack, that 28% it that one comment becomes 8%. And it gets worse if you have a magic weapon. A LOT worse. With advantage, a +3 weapon, and GWM at level 13, it’s less than a 2% increase. Of course, it gets better as enemy AC goes up, but worse as you add any other bonus damage to your hits. Overall, I think most tables will probably see an average of around an 8-10% increase in damage. A solid B, as it performs very well in the right campaign, which is low-magic, where advantage isn’t easy to come by.

Good news this video took forever to do lol

Oh, gosh! I hope this comes across as intended, but 2025 Monty and Kelly look a lot better than 2020 Monty and Kelly.
