I know i said it before but Yamaguchi really is my spirit animal; i would be so nervous to play against Aoba Johsai. Idk how the starting 6 is doing it. So brave. I am so ready for the Aoba match tho!! My favorite of all time, even beats Shiratorizawa and Nekoma match later on.

2025-01-27 02:25:28 +0000 UTCI have seen across the years that haikyuu has been an inspirational piece for artists both drawers and animators for the the dynamic poses and good understanding of “realistic but in a beautiful way” for athleticism and the players’ movement, particularly, I’ve heard comments on things like the details of the scrunching of the shoes and soles of the feet or especially the exceptional understanding on the FOLDING OF CLOTHES + that added poeticism in the interpretation of human movement into a way that’s suitable for anime and storytelling, just pure gold, the animation goes so hard but the mangaka really had good bones from the poses of the player movement and THE USE OF SHADING!! There’s so much beauty in either format
