2025-07-16 21:09:20 +0000 UTCSasha is my favorite out of the 104th cadets. This was so so sad when I read it in the manga. She was safe, she was celebrating. Jean's line brought home the consequences of war -- when will the killing end? Will tossing two children out do it? And it's also a bleak reminder that while the 104th are more grown up now, it isn't by much. They're only about 19/20 years old, and have seen so much death around them since they were children. Much like how the Warrior recruits are children, recruited and trained to be sent to war.

2025-01-27 06:58:02 +0000 UTCHonestly ever since the marley arc, makes me think about what if the story was told from the marley-eldian persepectives first, would we feel the same way abt what eren did to how we react to gabi's reaction as well since they are both so similar but just on different part of the story. The author really putting the essence about how human will tend to emphatise more with people they know better even if the other ppl went through something similarly bad, we just wont have the same capacity to care because they mean nothing to us.

2025-01-26 00:20:40 +0000 UTCthere's this little detail back in episode 63 that alludes to the zeke reveal 👀 while eren and falco were talking, falco sees a baseball glove beside eren and asks, "did your family send you that?" eren replies with, "yeah... they thought it'd make hospital life less boring." 👀👀👀 which character loves baseball AND just happens to be eren's family? ZEKEEEEE

2025-01-25 21:28:36 +0000 UTCEveryone’s reaction to Sasha dying got me teary eyed more so than the shot itself bc I felt it coming, I felt like we’ve been lucky to have jean conny and sasha thus far and with the way the tone was set for the season and what I’ve gleamed from the internet in the back of my head I was like uh oh they might wipe out the entire cast, so I’m still gonna be sad but like watching the season is like bracing yourself for the tragedy that you know is coming

2025-01-25 21:24:26 +0000 UTCSasha’s last word reminded me a video of every character’s last words. Besides Sasha’s: “Meat” I like Lara Tybur’s: “Usurper Eren Yeager, do you have any last words?” 😅😅 Also… I remember people feeling angry towards Eren for “laughing”/giggling after hearing Sasha’s last word was: “meat”. I personally giggle a bit too, because of it being so iconic for her, but it is true it was weird from Eren’s stand, considering him being actually there and it happening to his friend. I will only say now that there are many moments like this, which will later on make you realize: “Aha!”…

2025-01-25 20:44:26 +0000 UTCI am not sure how much I can say, since it would spoil many information to PD. But although Eren would have reacted the same (as we can tell by his character at the beginning of the whole story), he would have reacted this way only really early on. Throughout the story we could see his character developing and slowly changing based on the truth being revealed to him. I cannot tell for how long Gabi is going to stay with us, but I can tell her character will not develop that much. And sure… one may say the hate towards her was too much, but even if anyone has the rational point of view to her and they “understand her”, many people still hate her for her being annoying. Whereas Eren was dumb and impulsive, but after all he was not annoying. I am trying to remember how I felt with Eren (as someone, who considers him as my the most favorite character of all time and last year I even got a tattoo related to him (him/Shingeki no Kyojin and other 3 pieces of work I strongly admire). And… sure… I guess there are people being annoyed by his behaviour, but from my experience (and from the experience of others), I would say he was kind of neutral in this regard. Just the typical main character, who wants revenge, nothing special… All in all, I would say the hate towards Gabi is understandable. Even besides the factor of people’s favorite character got killed by her

2025-01-25 20:21:42 +0000 UTCI do agree that Falco is a good counterexample, but Falco is also way more reserved and contemplative. And Gabi's "I didn't see it so it doesn't matter" perspective is definitely a sign of evil judgement. It's complicated and there's a really thin line here where a lot of characters in this show could cross it easily. It really is just a sad consequence of war and history and a variety of choices from people and groups that snowballed.

2025-01-25 18:25:25 +0000 UTCThe dreaded episode... I started watching this season for the first time with you and after last episode ended up binging the rest of the show, but the first one was this and hoo boy it hurts. They really knew who would hurt the most to suddenly kill and for some reason I saw it coming for like three episodes. I will say that as much as it hurts and as much as I loved Sasha, the hatred for Gabi is insanely overblown and unreasonable. She's a brainwashed child soldier with an absurd amount of trauma and responsibility shoved on her from a very young age, this was inevitable, and I guarantee Eren would have done the exact same thing she did if he was raised the way she was. Yeah it was reckless and stupid and not planned out at all, but Eren acts with the same level of recklessness all the time and gets tons of people killed and maimed the same way all over this show. Hange said as much this episode. It's frustrating, but understandable imo, and tbh every character in this show does some pretty awful shit out of some sense of responsibility or revenge and justifying it through a lens of demonizing the enemy.

2025-01-25 15:25:03 +0000 UTCSo we reached the point because of which I will never find myself “understanding” Gabi… Reiner’s titan form is not really evolved, but it simply lacks enough armor on his body, because his mental state is just: “can I finally just die?” Regarding the plans of Eren & Zeke… this part will get so complicated and confusing in certain moments, so pay attention to that! I love these changes of perspectives so much, it always make me look at the story from brand new angle. The thing Hange said about them saving Eren all the time. That was meant in the “all time perspective”. Starting with him being taken by Annie early on, then by Reiner and Bertholdt and now this. The previous cases were not his fault, but this time he did it on purpose… The red hair guy is the one you assume, Floch.
