hahahaa i might be the minority, but this opening is my favorite of all!! i ALWAYS get chills when i watch it!!! also love this season the most because its so chilling and relatable to our world, it gave this show a whole new deeper meaning to me :)

2024-12-10 06:21:36 +0000 UTCReiner is so interesting and a very too real case study of falling for model minority trap especially in 100% facist countries BUT at the same time even after his dad disregarded him, he still convinced himself and I wanna be like GIRL STAND UP 😂 but ik how hard it is to actually put that into practice, and even Annie who didn’t dissociate from reality like reiner still couldn’t face deprogramming herself or going off mission, I think the difference is that they weren’t even pre teens but children vs situations like armin where he was just a bit older to process reality shifts on titans and face the corruption of government and political entities and armin was eventually able to accept that—Reiner had to fully dissociate from his identity and unlike Berthholdt I think Reiner fully believed his own lies/didn’t know he was switching mindsets consciously , I think what traps Reiner is ultimately fear whereas armin is scared all the time but motivated by knowledge and exploration of truths, BOY ITS COMPLICATED of being like ik how people get to a point where Reiner is I get how, but I can’t necessarily forgive the actions still—there’s a reason that in the Nuremberg trials “I was just following orders” isn’t a justifiable excuse, it just provides explanation for how a got to b for war crimes

2024-12-07 15:09:46 +0000 UTCSince they explained in this episode based on what they (Marley) decide, who will inherit each Titan, you got the answer why Ymir’s Jaw Titan was so “basic”, it was because her personality did not match the purpose of Jaw Titan, so she got just sharper teeth and nails. The factor of Warriors being children is interesting, because… sure, it is easy to brainwash children, but on the other hand they were still children regardless of all that training they had, so it was super risky to send them there, because they had never seen a titan, therefore they were shocked and scared and that is pretty much the reason, why none of them transformed to save Marcel (neither Marcel on his own). One thing that confuses me is Reiner nearly trying to take his life, like… considering his (Plot) Armored Titan/being a titan shifter in general, it would not have killed him. I mean, Levi literally stabbed him through his neck and heart and he managed to transfer his consciousness elsewhere… I would have appreciated if that scene of this episode served as a form of proof that the thing with Levi was justifiable and not just because Reiner is Isayama’s favorite character 😅😅 Now I can tell, who was the guy a few episodes back, who bought newspaper and because we could only see his chin and cowboy hat you said he looked like Kenny… That was Jean! And yes… we have entered the phase of Shippūden/the Z of this show, so puberty hit some characters a lot! Also… isn’t it interesting that the Dina Fritz titan did not go after Bertholdt to eat him? Did she just not notice him like that?? 😎😎😎😎
