The seoyeon signals in the beginning were so fascinating bc we're basically seeing a trainee from day 1 (but who's already been announced for a group). She's so honest and reactive and not polished. Most content about trainee life is actually pretty sad and geared towards making/not making it and how difficult it is and how it wears on these trainees (Im thinking of the Youtube series that featured StayC before they debuted among others) and when they DO show living situations it's actually a little sad So we're seeing the struggles she's going through but there still is this air of happiness and hope (and actual kpop group budgets). It also helps that the tertiary characters (all the trainers, etc) are all so nice. It's weird to see vocal/choreo trainers being so nice and supportive bc we've all been programmed by competition shows to see "mean" trainers and judging.

Like every shift in emotion and focus is instantly apparent and recognizable. It made her so endearing and engaging from the beginning and she hasn't left my top spot ever since!

We are reliving again now with PD the "Welcome to the HAUS" experience, soon with S2 Hyerin, I feel so excited, Seoyeon wondering who the next "S" will be (the debut girls are called "capital S" as the trainees are "small s"), asking herself what is the trainee experience S2 already has and how is it to be training before joining the group. Same as the current members don't know who the next "S" will be, also the trainees "s" don't know each other, they train separately and hope to be revealed as the next debut member.
