Attack on Titan EP 61

I thought the titans eating humans was hard to watch and then we entered the fascism arc and it's somehow more disturbing

The “Final Season” is actually 3 seasons in one, like there are three parts, so don’t worry about the story being told from Zeke’s perspective, even the opening will change 😅😅 Regarding the opening I forgot to say last time that it is called Boku no Sensō (My War) and the album art/cover for the single album of the song was created by Hajime Isayama himself (the mangaka of Shingeki no Kyojin) and the picture is Gabi standing in a classroom with AK-47-like gun in her hand 😅😅, yeah… when I said earlier that we are about to go to the war and things would be fucked up, I was bloody serious… Here is the album cover: https://music.apple.com/cz/album/boku-no-sensou/1552682824?i=1552682825 Please, if the song does not bother you too much, don’t skip it in the intro, I would dare to say most of people did not like it at first, because it is what it is, but composing-wise it is really interesting (mainly the full version, where the outro part is just: “OMG, what is this song??”) and although I did not like it either at first, after a few episode I started to appreciate the song, so if you consider doing the listening party of all the opening songs after we finish it, it would be good that you would provide this song “the same amount” of time you have provided to the other ones. Which reminds me… the 3rd part of this final season was released as two “movie-like” episodes at first, but they don’t include the opening, which got included in the episodic release later on. I watched both the two hour+ long episodes and then the episodic release and to be honest the opening there really fits the whole “final final vibe” and although the 3rd part is really short, it just feels more “natural” than ending it with two longer episodes, which feeling-wise happens to end so sudden. But the episodic release does not include the final after credit scene, which is must to watch to get the whole message/meaning of the story. So… I don’t know on which platform you watch this show, but regardless I would recommend a compromise of watching the episodic release instead of the first hour+ long episode and then switching to the second hour+ long episode with the after credit scene. The big secret of Zeke (besides the way he wipes his ass) is known to us… it is related to who his parents are… Regarding Ymir… that is one of the things I feel it could have been done differently… Like… I get once she found out Eren has the Founding Titan, she realized she can let Historia on Paradito Island, because they might have chance to save themselves after all, so that is why she changed her might and helped Bertholdt and Reiner. But the reason why she came back with them was just because she knew Reiner and Bertholdt would be punished not only for not coming back with the Founding Titan, but also without two Warriors and their titan powers, therefore she sympathized with them and decided to sacrifice herself. Which… I don’t know… she might not have had more to do regarding the story, so I guess nothing would have been different, but it just feels like she could have been in the story a bit more, considering she was barely noticed in the first season… I personally think she could have stayed with our chingus of Paradito and she could have provided them information about the world, but I guess considering her life and the backstory of hers, she kind of did not give a fuck about the world and her purpose of life was focused on Historia’s good. But still… I would have appreciated her being there a bit longer. Pieck’s: “It has been 2 months since I was a human/in human form” - The Cart Titan has super high stamina, so it can stay in the titan form for extra long and it can also transform again and again multiple times (compared to other ones, where like 3 times and more in a row is a lot). 20:20 (guy falling from a roof) - That was just a random citizen, who decided to end that shit there… (he took his life rather than living the “life” they have there), it was meant to show it is most likely a common thing to happen there… Because… if you think about it. It is really similar to the life on Paradito. Living behind the closed walls and if you want to go outside the walls you have to be allowed to or you have to serve Marley, which means being a soldier, which is like joining The Survey Corps (Scout Regiment), where you risk your life all the time… Your statement: “It fits so closely to our world”, yeah… that is why I said this story is pretty much the definition of humanity, because the only difference is the absence of titans in our world, but as you might have noticed already… the story is not about titans anymore. The thing you said about the writing of this story except the previous episode, where Gabi started to explain everything: True, that was not the best way to do that, but it was meant to make sure for the viewers/readers that it is still the same manga/anime. Obviously that is not an official statement, but many people thought they skipped a few chapters/episode, because the shift was so sudden and it gave so different vibes… I intentionally kept this last note for the very end of my comment, so I don’t give you any hint in which part of this episode they made those foreshadowings, but those conversations about the titan powers they currently have/all the powers any of the titans currently have, that was truly interesting to hear now… 😎😎
