I think it's because the playlist you're using (at least at this point in time) seems to be incomplete (when you said only ~500 in the first reaction, I knew that was wrong playlist lol) - it should include all the members intro teasers, the Weekly Signal, and Sunday Selfie Signal in chronological order. This is the playlist most people use: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLtfvnr3voKT2TA3uFFqrrzNdOrfGQKlEs&si=xVhYa7VtpW3tlcFp I would say this though - the Weekly Signals are recap episodes with only a tiny bit of new footage (and member commentary) so I think those are perfectly okay to skip.

2024-11-27 17:22:31 +0000 UTCFor the core OG WAV fandom (before WAV was even a term), I think one of the BIGGEST reasons why they are successful now and have maintained their fandom is because of this run of signals for the first 5-6 members but specifically Seoyeon (I mean, outside of the stuff the girls have no control over like the amount of budget/planning Jaden Jeong put into this) and I think it's no coincidence that jaden specifically chose seoyeon who had zero training. Actually, I think he purposely chose her as the first BECAUSE she had no training and was starting from ground zero. He definitely has an eye for talent but specifically an eye for identifying IMMEDIATELY likeable members (regardless of skill level). This whole run of watching Seoyeon who literally knows nothing discover everything for the first time, train for the first time, watching her struggles but more importantly her growth, etc I think really laid the groundwork for the general attachment the fandom has towards TripleS. Of course once Yooyeon showed up she became THE face of the group (and still is) but the whole objekt purchase thing, dimension voting, etc isn't done by the general public. It's done by die hard fans and that has as much to do bc of Seoyeon as it does with members like yooyeon or nakyung

2024-11-27 16:12:37 +0000 UTCI feel bad for the editors ☠️ I assume they’ve very much changed the systems and have a bigger team now to better handle it but to go from 11:30am, and going through editing and getting approved and going back for subtitles and graphics before the end of the day seems so hard, and none of it seemed lazy it was still a quality video ! I’m amazed

You figure she's an 03 so 21 now which means when she filmed this in May of 2022 she was 19. Korea's school year ends in January so while she had a few months to "get ready" its not like she had all that MUCH time to get ready to be an idol. I think what you're hearing in her voice is just shyness

(not like in the clean Brian episodes lol)
