Just for these opening days, initially small numbers of task forces in-theater, these amounts of fuel oil and aviation gasoline in-transit around the clock are stunning. I also always marveled at what it took to position and re-supply just one of our submarine or seaplane tenders during this time -- huge, slow targets in themselves. By 1945, with aerial photos showing immense fleets at anchor in some Pacific location -- the number of aircraft carriers alone was incredible -- the logistics involved has been very well illuminated by your history here, Sal. Commendable.
