2019-07-18 21:45:28 +0000 UTCSame basic sentiment as noted above: not paying for anything, rather acknowledging the effort put into keeping the channel going just so we can be entertained for a while. I cannot pass a busker who puts real effort into preparing some music or artistic endeavor, then hangs out on a street corner for hours on end, hoping passersby will throw something into their hat. If I am not in a hurry to get somewhere I will stop, listen or watch, then leave something in the kitty. It seems rude or indifferent to walk by as if the person isn't there. In like manner, if I watch a channel regularly, I feel I should throw a fiver into their hat to show that I am paying attention and enjoy the show. I can't do this for everyone, but I am happy to support the half-dozen or so channels that I think deserve some love. Of course, I often screw up and leave comments that seem funny at the moment, but in hindsight probably leave the channel owner wondering if I am a nut case or a troll. I am never a troll, so the former option is the correct choice. ≡:o)
