February Update

Hey all, so its been a bit of a rough month for us in the Kelly household.  I'd planned to release extra content but sadly its going to have to roll over to March's release as I've not had time to get on as I'd have liked.  School holidays are always a bit less productive with family outings and the like but this month has also seen the passing of my wife's grandad and we've been involved in all of the funeral arrangements and sorting out his house and possessions so its been a emotionally draining time as well as a busy one needing a lot of additional time commitment.

The extra models I'd planned will be included in the March release with the Dragon Cultists set and as my little dude following his Beholder sculpt is desperate to play a game of D&D, I was recommended the Lost mines of Phandelver as a good starter campaign, and I need a good number of goblins and bandits for that so I'll be making a bunch of those too.  If anyone else has any recommendations for campaigns (official or unofficial) that will be good for a 6 year old,  I'd love to hear it!!

not confusing at all! in fact they sound like awesome ideas! i'll have to see what i can incorporate for him. his character is a dragonborn rogue who is allergic to and also scared of cats! when he sneezes he shoots out spouts of flame! He also loves sneaking about like a ninja and hiding so he'll love those ideas! thanks so much!

First my condolences - I am sorry for your loss. Its a good Idea to have a game with your Family... I ran quite a few RPG games for Kids... Birthday Parties, Events etc... Keep the game simple... and go with the ideas... sitting around all the time can be tiresome for a young kid... so I implemented little games ... like find something outside... or a little game in the garden and I used the dice roll to influence the outcome of the game... like a balance challenge ... or carrying a cup with water on your head... and if the dice roll was good you can compensate little errors and vice versa... another cool thing is uses your kitchen or bathroom tiles as a part of the dungeon ... mark on a piece of paper which tiles are a trap and let the kids walk over them... if the trap is sprung they start again... hope that's not to confusing... most important have fun and play the yes its possible game ...
