Hello all,
Hope everyone's doing well. There was a great response to last week's Patreon-only video, so that's certainly something I'll start doing on a semi-regular basis. Next up will probably be some kind of Q&A session next month.
This week, I wanted to take a look at one of my favourite songs, a song often put forward as one of the greatest ever: Wichita Lineman, originally recorded by Glen Campbell. There are 3 parts to the video: I go through the basic chords for those of you who want an easy-ish, strum-along version; I do a bit of a theoretical analysis of the slightly unusual chord progression; then I break down my own instrumental arrangement.
(No link, since there's a now a new option for me to embed the video directly in the Patreon page. You can click through to YouTube from here if you want to.)
Hope you find it interesting. Below, I've tabbed out my arrangement and I've also put together a simple chord/lyric chart.
The backing track will be in the next post.
Speak next week,
Adrian
