Candy Says by the Velvet Underground
Added 2022-09-16 17:04:24 +0000 UTCI know it's not been that long since my last Velvets lesson, but you can never have too much VU as far as I'm concerned. This week I'm looking at a classic track from the 3rd album. I've put together my own arrangement of the tune where I play the vocal line on the guitar. I also discuss the actual parts you can hear on the original recording.

There are 2 tabs. The first is my transcription of the original recording. I've written out one verse and one chorus for both the Reed and Morrison parts. (There are some minor variations in the 2nd verse and chorus but for the most part it's just a straight repeat.) Then I've written out my arrangement in full. In both tabs the chord names reflect the shapes used on the guitar, while the standard notation shows the actual pitch when tuned down a whole step.
