Confused? Me too.
Added 2019-02-03 10:59:22 +0000 UTCMorning all. Hope everyone's having a good weekend. And welcome to those of you who have just signed up this week.
I know that some of you (and myself actually) have been a little confused navigating around Patreon and finding the correct pages, lesson links etc. I thought I'd share this info which fellow patron Chris Kueny has put together which clarifies things a bit:
"OK, I figured this out. In case it's useful to anyone: In a web browser, there are three different views of Adrian's stuff, depending upon how you get there:
1. If I go to http://www.patreon.com, I land on MY home page, which at the left shows my name and a list of who I'm supporting (just Adrian right now). On the right I see a list of creator posts. Each of Adrian's posts is is labeled with "Anyone Can Play Guitar" with Adrian's logo. I just figured out that his name/logo is a link, and if I click on it, it takes me to:
2. ADRIAN's home page. Adrian's home page has his large pile-of-guitar-pedals logo across the top of the page, plus all of his posts, plus links to "Overview," "Posts" and "Community" at the top of the page. This "Community" link gets you to the discussions that I had only seen on the phone app before.
3. If I instead get to the site by clicking on Adrian's "Check It Out" link in a lesson announcement email, I get to Adrian's page FOR THAT LESSON. At the top right is a smaller pile-of-guitar-pedals logo, and if you click on that you again go to Adrian's main page.
When I use the iPhone app, it just takes me to Adrian's main page. That's why I saw the Community link only on the phone before--it was because I'd never actually been to Adrian's main page on the computer. This is all fine once you know how to get around, but the different views confused me. (Finally, I saw that someone had posted in "Community" a request for a Joy Division backing track that Adrian used in one video. I would also be interested in that!)"
So there we go. Thanks for that Chris. I'm doing my best to be active here and respond to all comments and questions promptly. But I'm sure I will occasionally miss things. If you really need a response, feel free to email me directly at adrian@anyonecanplayguitar.co.uk
That's it for now. New lesson on Friday, speak then.
Cheers,
Adrian
