Olivia Noth

Meg appeared on a small hill next to Noth’s capital city. Seth knew it was early spring by the short green grass underneath her body.

While Meg was excitedly looking around, Seth was speaking with the system.

‘We should head inside the city and find out more. There are traces of technological advancement in the city, but only a few. Only a little time must have passed since we left this backup.’

<Affirmative. According to my calculation, it is less than 50 years. Either that or you somehow didn’t take Noth.>

‘There’s no way I reached the later shells in less than 50 years. Another god it is. But which one…’

<Highest probability is Kronos.>

‘But could that weak bastard push me to detonate my divinity?… anyway, sitting here and debating serves no purpose. We need to head to the city and ask questions.’

With the system in agreement, Seth whispered to Meg. ‘I’m sorry it has to be like this, Meg, but could you go inside the city and ask about Endora and King Seth’s situation?’

Meg nodded with an even more excited look. It’s been about half a century since she got to walk the earth properly. Sitting up, she looked down at her naked body and asked with a blush. “Does big brother has any clothes?”

Seth chuckled and said: ‘Walk around the periphery, and we’ll take the clothes of anyone passing by.’

With another nod, Meg started running down the hill. With no access to the records, Seth could only have her blindly looking around for any human they could find.

It took only a short time until they stumbled upon a farmer planting crops on a field.

‘Take me closer, and I’ll kill him. After that, we can take their clothes.’

“Kill him? Why can’t we ask?”

Seth was stunned by Meg’s question, and the system quickly agreed.

<It is better if you don’t use your energy too much, or we might attract the system’s attention. Having her ask for some clothes is indeed the better way.>

With a sigh of resignation, Seth agreed, and Meg covered herself the best she could with her hands while approaching the farmer.

“Excuse me, Sir.” She said from a small distance. “Do you have anything I can cover myself with?”

The farmer was startled and stopped working the ground, wiping his sweat away as he turned towards Meg. Looking her up and down, he asked with a frown while undressing his shirt and jacket. “Poor thing, how did you end up naked in my fields?”

Meg blushed and repeated what Seth told her: “I don’t know what happened. I suddenly woke up naked on that hill, covered in some disgusting white stuff.”

A look of pity appeared in the farmer’s eyes, and he didn’t ask any more questions, finding it a blessing she didn’t seem to remember what happened.

“And I thought Noth was getting more civilized...ahh,” muttered the farmer, handing her his shirt and jacket before turning around.

Meg used the shirt to cover her lower body and closed the jacket on her upper body before bowing and saying: “Thank you for your help.”

“No problem, no problem, little one. I can give you some of my daughter’s old clothes if you want. We need to go to my home for that.”

‘Agree. You can’t go around the city looking like this.’

After Meg nodded, she followed the topless farmer toward his house. The farmer kept peeking at her repeatedly, looking like he was about to say something before closing his mouth and remaining silent.

Meg was also talking to Seth inside her mind, so none of them said a word until they reached the house. Once there, the farmer had her wait outside as he went to pick her some womanly clothes.

Once he returned, Meg went behind the house and changed into the set of white clothes the man brought her before walking back out and returning the jacket and shirt.

“Thank you for your kindness, sir.” Said Meg with another bow.

The farmer nodded while scratching his head and looking at Meg. “You’re quite level-headed for a girl your age.”

Due to her physical body being locked in Noth’s dimension, time had not left its mark on her body, making Meg appear just as young as she did when she was brought there.

Seeing she was not saying anything back, just blushing lightly, the farmer said hesitantly: “Can I ask you where you’re from, little one? I’ve never seen a girl with black and white hair inside Noth. And your eyes…”

Meg was about to reply when Seth interjected. ‘Tell him you’re from Endora Kingdom. I want to see what he’ll say.’

“I’m from Endora Kingdom, sir. Does sir know how I can get back home?”

The farmer looked confused for a moment before asking: “You’re from that rundown place? How did you get all the way here?”

‘Rundown?’ exclaimed Seth in surprise. ‘Ask him about King Seth.’

Meg repeated Seth’s words and asked: “Do you know what happened with King Seth?”

‘You mean Emperor Seth?’ asked the farmer. ‘No one knows. Empress Elise has been running the empire for the last twenty or so years.’

Seth’s heart fell with the farmer’s words. ‘Empress Elise? How did Elise become empress? What about Maya and the others? What the hell is going on?’

‘Do I ask him anything?’

‘Ask him if he meant Empress Maya?’ said Seth, holding onto a shred of hope.

“Did you mean Empress Maya?” repeated Meg.

The farmer shook his head in confusion. “Are you sure you’re alright little girl? Did you hit your head or something? There’s no Empress Maya.”

Meg’s body started getting covered in a cluster of destruction energy, making the farmer take a few steps back and fall to his knees. “Miss ascended. I apologize for my rudeness. Please have mercy.”

‘Big brother. Stop.’

<Host. Calm down. The timeline must have changed with Kronos’s involvement.>

Seth eventually calmed down, retracting the destruction energy back, and said to Meg. ‘Tell him to tell you everything he knows about Endora, Seth, and Elise.’

After Meg repeated his words, the farmer lowered his head and said. “I don’t know much, but since Emperor Seth disappeared, Elise has taken over the empire claiming to be his empress. There were some tries of rebellion, from Noth included, but most revolts were stopped with the ascended listening to her commands.”

“Ever since dousing off the rebellions, she has been ruling the entire empire from the Loss Kingdom.”

‘Ask him who rules the other Kingdoms, Noth included.’

“Queen Olivia rules the Noth Kingdom, Queen Andrea the Curse Kingdom, King Cain and Queen Molly the Oath Kingdom, King Theodor II the Loss Kingdom, King Sander the Wrath Kingdom, and King Tarquin the Endora Kindom.”

‘Quite disturbing… ask him about Sorrow Kingdom.’

“The Sorrow Kingdom has fused with the Life Kingdom after King Dan betrayed the empire.”

‘My marks must have been broken… then what happened with the others?… You can leave, Meg. We’re going to meet with Queen Olivia.’

Meg nodded and thanked the farmer again before leaving in the direction of the city.

‘What’s your take on this?’

<Kronos must have removed Endora from the timeline completely, along with…>

‘I know that, but are they still alive?’

<As of now… probably not.>

‘Any way to get them back?’

<…>

Seth remained silent for a long time as Meg headed towards Noth Kingdom.

Seth’s been missing for twenty years and had no idea how many things must have happened before his disappearance. He needed information but also needed to figure out who he could trust.

Was Kronos his only enemy? What about the Tower? He had long known the tower had its agenda, but he didn’t know if they broke ties completely.

Still, above everything else were his wives, whose fates were utterly unknown to him.

‘System… if they were erased from the timeline… will becoming a time god allow me to get them back?’

<Depends on what he did with their existence. If they were pulled from the timeline, you might be able to bring them back, but if they were erased… I’m afraid not even the World Sovereign will be able to do it…>

Seth remained silent, but destruction energy kept fluctuating inside his soul, making even walking a pain for Meg.

<Please calm down, host. Erasing from existence is a significant burden even on a divinity. Doing so with an entire city might be too much even for him. There’s a high chance he sucked their existence inside his divinity.>

‘That better be the case. If they are gone, this entire simulation can follow after them for all I care...’

‘Meg, hurry up.’ Said Seth, and Meg sped up her pace.

‘Big brother… are you King Seth?’

‘I am, Meg. Sorry for not telling you my name, and thank you for helping me.’

Meg nodded and said: ‘It’s alright. Big brother is the only one I could ever speak to since father passed away. Thank you.’

‘Oh shit! Mom and dad.’ exclaimed Seth, realization finally dawning on him.

<Affirmative… A paradox must have been created with you passing into non-existence and your parents disappearing.>

‘Why do they still remember me then?’

<Your existence was not erased, and your future self must have done something to protect himself from the paradox. A way to tether his existence to this world besides being born.>

‘Still, I’m in more trouble than ever. I need to know what happened… everything.’

Meg continued walking for about half a day until she finally reached the Noth Palace. Approaching one of the guards, she quickly said. “I request an audience with Queen Olivia.”

The two guards started laughing out loud, but that quickly stopped when Seth released a trace of his destruction energy, and Meg said: “Are Empress Elise’s words so funny to you, or do you plan to revolt again?”

The two guards paled at Meg’s words and fell to their knees. “We apologize, miss ascended.”

“Go and announce Olivia; someone is looking for her. My time is limited.”

‘Am I doing good, big brother?’

‘You’re doing great, Meg.’

One of the guards quickly scrambled to inform Olivia about their guest while the other remained to kneel. Half an hour later, a hurried Olivia was walking down the pathway to the palace.

Looking at Meg in front of the door, she frowned and asked, “Are you really an emissary of Elise?” Finding a child claiming to be an emissary and even making one of her guards kneel to her felt pretty ridiculous.

‘What now?’ asked Meg in her head.

‘Repeat exactly after me.’

Meg nodded and asked out loud: “Is Crow here?”

Olivia looked at Meg again, surprise evident on her face, before looking upwards and to the side. “He’s around. How do you - “

“Send him away. My words are for your ears only.”

Olivia frowned as she looked into Meg’s eyes and said: “I only agreed to remain in the Empire since Seth saved my life once, but we’re not complying with a fake Empress’s will. Crow is my companion and is not leaving my side.”

The guard kneeling next to Meg was already shaking in his boots, hearing his queen’s words of rebellion.

Meg’s left eye flashed a deep red color as destruction energy started burning inside, and she said: “I’m glad you didn’t forget your debts, Olivia. Send Crow away.”

Olivia looked into Meg’s eyes, and her mouth opened wide enough that you could stick an egg inside. As she was about to speak, Meg said: “Send Crow away and don’t do or say anything else.”

Olivia froze and looked towards the sky: “Crow, take the guards away and leave.”

After the poor guard got sucked into his shadow, Meg passed the palace gate and walked up to Olivia.

‘Place your hand on her cheek.’

After Meg did as she was told, her dark-red eye returned to its pure black color, and the look in Olivia’s eyes became quite hazy.

‘You’ve grown into quite the beautiful queen, Olivia.’ A voice exclaimed inside her mind, making Olivia’s body shake. ‘I’m glad you managed to escape Pain.’

‘Seth... It really is you!’
