Landscapes blurring studies

There was this short that I came across a long while ago but the instructions were simple enough for me to remember.

It's about using blur on the reference image to force you to ignore the smaller and finer details and look at the bigger picture. It's not required but I personally would suggest using only a few brushes, especially if you're not going all the way to 0 blur. But whatever brushes you use it's up to you. A character I made for Fabula Ultima with some friends. They are a shapeshifter, maining Chimerist class and some 2 others.

Leave the dreaming wilds to adventurers and fools who value their lives very little. It is not a place to be tamed or to be trifled with. As for the creatures that call it home, they make good props for scaring unruly children into discipline. Not that it did any good to the curious one.

for Artfight! Yes, I'm not hiding my characters this year as I do plan to draw more than err 4 like last year. Eonis could have more information on his sheet (I mean look at it next to Bai's) but as of now, those are the important bits.

I did my first current patch savage raiding over a month ago. It was super fun and Bukoya was there to teach me the ropes. I can forgive this one male lala. Revising an old kemono design

One Year of Ysa Khal

One year ago today, I played FFXIV after a long long time of my friends coughChlorescough telling me about it. It's been a blast so far. I drew Ysa as my first class - lancer and a job I like currently - dark knight. It's one of my faves but for this, I chose it for the pose ahah. It parallels well with the lance.

This took a long dumb time for me to… not finish per se but upload? I’m starting to understand more what managers are for. Sometimes I just wanna make something but talking gives me anxiety that I make it bigger than it really is (like none actually).

Bai, Pierce, and starborn bat

Some paintings I did.

You can notice how Bai's and the starborn bat art looks cleaner than Pierce. It's because the base I clipped the actual coloring layers on was made using a very opaque brush. Also each layer of objects or elements had their own bases so the clean up was better. Pierce's base was made by the same brush I used for the coloring and rendering so it's like a marker with some transparent parts here and there and more soft.

I love both for their own reasons.

Sage Ysa

I am inlove with this weapon and so I designed the glam around it. And of course I had to draw it after I got the chestpiece. I saved a transparent BG version of this because I spent way too long deciding on the color of the background because the values of the pants were blending with the BG color. Either it was the brown or the blackish-brown.

Been having fun with this job lately. I was having a go again at healing again, especially jobs I never picked up or abandoned long ago coughWHMcough and out of those 3, AST is what I enjoy the most so far.

Ysa lore?

Was daydreaming a while ago about building some Ysa's backstory. There's a inside joke about Ysa loving earning money and then I thought about spinning that into her lore. Perhaps it could be a goal to try and make that short comic sometime this year? I haven't done a comic in uhh years but some much needed fixation could give me the boost.

Some 10 of 15 of the requests. I nearly lost this file because my PC decided to bluescreen of death and the file became corrupted. Thankfully I found a 2 yr old solution that gave me back almost all the progress but it's a whole lot better than nothing.

But anyway, I've decided to add this type to choices for monthly tier 3 requests. o/

I did mine with this new marker experimental style I've been doing. I'm having fun with it! As you can see, I did previous attempts before but I wasn't having fun with them or feel satisfied like I know it looks like a waste especially having finished one but the thought of doing the rest with the same-ish style and my mood, I'd rather start over.
