On today's solo episode, I talk about Microsoft cancelling the long missing-in-action co-op game from Avalanche, Contrabrand, and how the company's AI push is fuelling an ongoing genocide in Gaza. I also talk about Nintendo's Indie World showcase and my impressions from checking out some of the games in it like Mina The Hollower, and what I've heard about why more developers have yet to receive Switch 2 development kits.

Then, I give an update on upcoming videos. My next video has been in the works for a long time and goes into a lot of detail on a major cancelled game project from Xbox. Stay tuned... you'll be the first to see it!

On the preservation aspect of Game Key Cards, I feel like it's overplayed when in most situations, the card will work. If we assume a 20-year lifespan to the Switch 2 download servers (i.e. as long as the Wii is thus far), then it will probably outlast moderately used Switch 2 cartridges. The scenarios where it won't work kind of require an apocalypse that either ends Nintendo or the internet. Edit: Forgot Enter sends the comment. On Microsoft, in the enclaves on the internet, it feels relatively easy to boycott Microsoft but, I feel like the wider internet will hop on to Skyrim or Warzone without care and it's kind of depressing. I do want to get the Age of Empires expansions but have held off once I caught wind of the first reporting on the genocide stuff along with cancelling my Game Pass sub. The thing with a lot of the cancellations feels like Microsoft just doesn't have the management staff to keep games on track. A lot of these games looked to be announced early and just mothballed instead of getting a firm producer to narrow the focus a la Miyamoto's tea table flipping.
