Feedback on the perk tiers
Added 2017-06-26 19:08:30 +0000 UTCHey all! I just wanted to be open for feedback on the perk tiers here on my Patreon page and get input on what you guys think is fair!
I've been considering bringing them closer together, for example, raising the base tier by $1 to $3, maybe lowering the HQ files tier by $1 down to $6? So far it's just a thought.
What do you think? $7 tier is too much, too little, or does it even matter? (I doubt the world is starving for high res Tanraak files, everything above the base pledge I consider a generous act of goodwill...)
And would you still support if it was $3 instead of $2?
Anyway, I won't make any changes for another week or two if I do, and I'm certainly open to feedback~
I also hope at some point to figure out how to capture and post timelapses of my canvas while I'm drawing on Patreon, but I haven't figured out how I would do that yet. I'll look into it more!
Hope you all are having an awesome day, anyway :)

Oh... oh, my God. Your work is so beautiful. Like, HOLY SHIT. I'm honestly blown away! Is there anything in your artistic repertoire that isn't jaw dropping? Great Scott!

2017-06-27 05:00:53 +0000 UTCSure! As far as my photography stuff, I have a Tumblr blog that has some of my timelapses in GIF form: http://evanbellphoto.tumblr.com/ I use Lightroom and LRTimelapse to make them! And Premiere to put them together as video, and photoshop to put them together as GIFS!

2017-06-27 03:35:30 +0000 UTCI wasn't planning on adding any more tiers! Just considering adjusting the levels of them a little. There'd still be three! I don't have the disk space to save files of a screen capture for my drawings, that just takes up too much hard drive space. ^^ I don't have any issue knowing how to edit them, but if I tired to save videos of me drawing I would have to buy another hard drive. And maybe I will, from some of the proceeds of next month's patreon income!

2017-06-27 02:24:57 +0000 UTCI think $7 is fair, most other artist charge HD pics at $10... which to me a bit too much. That said some artist charge you $10 or $15 to give you PSD file. I think you can bump $2 to 3 and $9 tier to 10 while lowering $6. As long as you kept up pumping out good artwork people won't mind :3

2017-06-27 02:21:06 +0000 UTCI'm rushed for time at the moment but, if I'm understanding this correctly; I like getting hi-res for a $7.00 USD pledge. You're the only artist I support on this site, and generally speaking I have very mixed feelings about Patreon and the culture it's creating. At the risk of sounding passive aggressive, I don't think subdividing pledge and reward tiers is really the way to go. There's two big reasons why I say this. First, the more subjective: "Lets have steps to encourage them to spend right up to their absolute spending limit" is really ... Mn. Patreons with a billion tiers always strike me like they're trying to up-sell me a phone plan or options on a new car. And it's also a bit tacky to me. (I really like the honesty and simplicity of the current structure. It comes off friendly and relaxed to me. And I *really, really* like the commission focus, rather than "extra special $$$" tiers like what other artists on this site do.) Second, Logistics: Having multiple reward tiers, means you have to have multiple rewards. "Lol obviously???" Well... I know from my own business experiences, any time I added a step, no matter how insignificant, it always ended up taking more time and effort than I thought it would. You don't have employees so... That means you have to both think up a structure, aaaand maintain it. I would keep it as simple as possible. Also, by canvas, you mean digitally? If so, OBS (Open Broadcaster Software) should be able to simultaneously stream and create a capture on your local disk. I don't know if patreon has video hosting or not (I assume it does). That should be all you need really. The time lapse, could be done via some kind of video editor. There's probably a free one out there~ (That said, I like long-play videos my self, I just track forward until I get to the specific part I want to know.) (I learn better via text anyway x) Anyway I mean all that with constructive objectivity, and positivity, I'm not interested in arguing with anyone <3.

2017-06-27 02:06:23 +0000 UTCGotcha, not a problem. Feel free to message me if you need any advice then! Best of luck! (And p.s. - I'd love to see some of your timelapse work sometime. Maybe make it a little bonus for your patrons, *wink wink, nudge nudge?*)

2017-06-26 20:18:20 +0000 UTCI like to give back to the artists who provide to the fandom. You bring consistent and magnificent pieces which has led me to pledge 7$. I do agree it's a bit higher than other patreons, but you are really really consistent though! You've proven it time and time again. You deserve it!

2017-06-26 20:03:53 +0000 UTCThanks for offering! I can cover my editing needs, though - it's other parts of the process that pose challenges for me. I actually do timelapse photography as a hobby myself! :)

2017-06-26 19:47:56 +0000 UTCi support till 5 dollar. that is my max, because of other patreons, so for me, 2 or 3 dollar isn´´t much a difference ;D i would suggest, that you split 2-4-6 or 3-5-7. Small steps that pushed them a bit in the thinking ... ahh, only 2 dollars more. Thank you for your lewd and awesome work!

2017-06-26 19:40:33 +0000 UTCI'm not sure if you'd be interested, but I have a bachelor's degree in film and video, and have a lot of editing equipment to help you create an awesome timelapse sequence. I really love your art and would totally do it for free, and I could send you an easy step-by-step tutorial? Again, only if you're interested. I'm more than willing to offer my services to you and your amazing work. Just message me for more details if it piques your interest; there's a lot of cool stuff we could try out.

2017-06-26 19:39:30 +0000 UTCWell, there might or mind not wind up being a $5 one.. I don't know yet! We'll see!

2017-06-26 19:22:06 +0000 UTCI generally support Artist up to $5, but you lack such a tier

2017-06-26 19:16:30 +0000 UTCI do not mind either way, I am comfortable with $7 although more might be comfortable at $6.
