The central hallway stretches ahead, dim and cavernous, its faded carpet littered with discarded popcorn boxes and wrappers. Faint streaks of light seep through cracks in the boarded-up windows.
Rachel pauses at the theater marked Men in Black III, the faded letters barely legible on the wall-mounted plaque. She pushes the heavy door ajar, its hinges protesting loudly. Leaning in, she scans the empty space within.
"I'm so glad we didn't miss this place. An empty theater. Let's search every seat for treasure," she says, her tone dripping with sarcasm. She throws a quick glance back at you, one eyebrow arched as if daring you to suggest otherwise.

I looked up the dates and I guess I got them wrong. Maybe I can do a preview of the movie which some theaters run as test films. Also, there is an argument before this scene in which Rachel says exactly what you are — that scavenging a movie theater is worthless. But there are some clues earlier in the scene that suggest there may be some hidden loot

2024-12-27 18:57:31 +0000 UTCIt triggered a flag in my brain when I saw it but Safe Haven takes place at least 15 days before Men in Black 3 hit the states, so the posters would be there but you wouldn't be walking into a showing of it here. I am curious why our MC wanted to check a movie theater and particularly inside a showing. The concession stands and maybe the offices if you can get in, but really the storage rooms for cleaning supplies and the all important toilet paper would be the only places I'd be looking.
