Added 2024-12-16 17:49:00 +0000 UTCSince there are so many published games and new works-in-progress created using Choicescript (the language I use to code my games), I’m considering creating YouTube videos where I read through the first fifteen minutes of a game and share my thoughts. For example, I could read through games like Fallen Hero or Infamous, provide commentary, and offer a brief review.
The videos would be available for everyone to watch, while my patrons would have the opportunity to vote on which games I review next.

Well I would think anything that you like doing and that potentially helps cut through the noise of other published works would be potentially worthwhile. YouTube of course is a different sort of horse to ride. You also never know what pops on it though. You do have a certain credibility as someone who published an interactive game that people actually liked. So, it wouldn't be the same as some random person trying to monetize saying what they thought of a game. I guess if it is something you'd like to try anyway, and think might be fun then that's really the most important thing.

2024-12-17 21:24:24 +0000 UTCI'd find it quite interesting, especially as someone who's dabbled in writing/coding with choicescript. However, I do think it may be better to do an overall review of the whole thing or the first half or something, as the first 15 minutes might not be the most representative of the whole experience (I'm sure it's the most important part in terms of retaining players tho)
