The afternoon sun casts a warm glow over the rolling countryside as you drive. The junkyard gives way to expansive fields and dense woods. Farmhouses and barns dot the landscape, many of them showing signs of neglect and abandonment. Windows are boarded up or shattered, and driveways are overgrown with weeds.
As you navigate through the rural roads, you see small groups of zombies wandering aimlessly, drawn to the sound of your engine. Occasionally, a few of the more alert ones begin to shuffle towards you, their hollow eyes filled with mindless hunger. The vehicle easily outpaces them, leaving the slow-moving threats behind.
Piles of debris and makeshift barricades mark former points of resistance, now overrun and abandoned. The air carries a faint, unpleasant odor of decay, mingling with the more familiar scents of pine and earth.
Kelly glances over at you, curiosity in her eyes. "So, what do you think about scavenging the campground? Anything specific you're hoping to find or worried about?"
