Since I have wrapped up the nephew mission for Zombie Exodus: Safe Haven, I have been working on Stronghold.

The scene below is from chapter 4. You and your group are trying to cross a walkway that is guarded by soldiers as you escape a horde of zombies.

The walkway to Zone 2 is blockaded by three armed guards, clearly intent on enforcing the closure. Siena steps next to you and whispers their names. Rollins stands front and center, a tall, barrel-chested white man with a sharply angled jawline and severe brow that accentuates his straight posture. His hands rest firmly on the grips of his imposing automatic rifle, shoulders squared in an unmistakable display of authority.

To his left is Kozlowski, her compact, muscular build giving the impression of a heavyweight boxer who hasn't missed a day in the gym for a decade. Close-cropped auburn hair frames a face equal parts intense glower and wary calculation as her gaze rakes over your group. Her own weapon is held at a deceptively relaxed low-ready position—lazily trained on your midsections.

The shortest of the trio, Samuels, rounds out their formation. Despite his small stature, the wiry Black man fills out his battle gear with defined muscles. Like his comrades, he remains statue-still.

"This walkway is closed," Rollins says again. His words land with an uneasy tone that hits even harder when he follows it up with a harsh, hacking cough—quickly covering his mouth against the crook of his elbow to muffle the wet, raspy sounds.
