Games by JimD Newsletter – Development Timeline Updates

Welcome to my 49th newsletter!  I can’t believe it’s already October, and there’s only two weeks left before I submit ZE:SH Part 3 for publication. I’m still writing new content every day, which I will touch on below. I’ve been writing harder than ever to fit everything into this release.

Just a note that I am having a small medical procedure done this Friday. If you reach out to me through email or social media, there may be a delay. I’m hoping this is the last procedure I will need for a long time, and I should actually be home and recuperating the same day.

In this newsletter, I will talk about ZE:SH Part 3 and discuss all the new content that you will be seeing. I will also touch on Vampire: The Masquerade - Out for Blood, though most of my time has been spent on Safe Haven.

Zombie Exodus: Safe Haven, Part 3

Part 3 is currently at 628,514 words! That’s over 55,000 words “written” since my last newsletter. You may be wondering how I wrote so much this month. The truth is that I have been slowly writing some of the conversations you may have with other characters in the main group. Each month I tried to write one character, but that whole scene did not make it into any of the past updates. I never calculated how much I had waiting to share, but that scene got huge. Part 3 will easily be over 650,000 words now.

So what will you be seeing in the next update on the 25th? If you are at the Contributor tier, you will see all of that content, which includes romantic scenes in chapter 8 for all of the ROs, including a special Jillian and Gina three-way session and a Jaime and Lopez three-way session. This release also includes conversations with all of the group members leading into chapter 12. That includes Kevin and Jude. It’s quite an ambitious scene.

I am also slowly making all of the other additions and edits that have been sent to me. That file is currently up to seventy pages, so I have my work cut out for me. All of this has to be sent to CoG within the first week of November, so I’m working every day on it.

If you are not at the Contributor tier, you will still get to see the majority of the new content. I will be posting a revised public beta sometime this month. It will depend on how quickly I get through all of the other changes I need to make and how I feel after surgery. I want as much feedback as possible before sending those files for publication..

Vampire: The Masquerade - Out for Blood

I did make some changes to Out for Blood this month but have not had time to test them. Mostly I am changing the scene when Makayla tells the MC and their friends that vampires exist. Many people feel the characters are too willing to believe Makayla. In the new version, some of your friends will be skeptical and need convincing. I think this is much more realistic and definitely was an oversight as I was writing it.

As soon I send in my files to CoG for Zombie Exodus: Safe Haven, Part 3, I will get back to working on the next updates for Out for Blood.
