Stage Invaders and Rider Goblins (Touring with Combichrist pt.2)

Hello Humans,

It's time we finally release Part Two of Touring With Combichrist!

This chapter covers the full UK leg of the tour. 14 shows in a row, no breaks.

By the end of it we’d become expert snack pests or "rider-goblins", living off whatever we could scavenge (mostly crisps), slowly losing our minds to the endless diet of pizza and chips.

I still can't really look at dough without my stomach doing a little flip.

There is also a hilarious moment where we have to sew Anna's costume in a rather... awkward area... 😆

Despite the hunger and exhaustion, the shows were absolute fire. By this point of the tour we had really hit our stride.

It was also beautiful to share the road with Extize and Esoterk, and grow a deeper friendship, the whole tour feel like a family on wheels.

Also in this episode you’ll also hear from Matas, who is always behind the edit, and joined us for Milton Keynes, where we got post-show tattoos and did yoga on the roof.

One of the biggest highlights: Hana Piranha stormed the Combichrist stage with her violin, and ended up being invited back for their headline set at WGT! Legendary.

On a personal note, I rediscovered something really special on this tour: dancing. Since getting sober, I hadn’t truly let myself lose it on the dance floor without the blanket of drugs and booze, but the sheer energy of Combichrist was truly something special. By the end of tour we had "dance club", where everyone would join the moshpit for their set.

I hope you enjoy it. This video brings me back and I'm a little sad looking back to know I might not see some of these people ever again. I hope to be wrong.

Back to my regular monthly vlogs now! I miss the chaos of the tour but something tells me we'll be back on the road soon enough...
