IVORY - A Book of Poems

Dearest Patrons (and non-patrons),

This is a rare public post from myself, Mishkin. 

Usually everything is kept for my patrons only and therefore super-secret but I'm hoping to entice a few more of you non-patrons to join this group of weird and wonderful people who are single-handedly funding the creative world of Birdeatsbaby.

So... on to our next "thing"...

IVORY - A Book Of Poetry

Ivory is the first book of poetry to be released by myself. It's exciting, and a little daunting. I feel like the more I reveal of my personal self, the greater it feels, but I've always been such a secretive soul that sometimes it feels a little uncomfortable. 

Some of these poems are incredibly sad, dark, and downright hopeless. It makes me upset to think of how unhappy I was (and still can be), and these poems are like a reflection of my depression. However, it's not all doom and gloom though... you'll see how my writing has progressed, developed and hopefully be inspired as I was when I rediscovered these forgotten writings.

I've compiled years and years worth of half finished songs, ramblings, fully finished works and thoughts in various notebooks, and it struck me... so much of this will never see the light of day. As I begun to read through, I realised a book of would be the perfect way to show case all my writings in one beautiful book, ranging from 2000-2017. I've picked out the very best ones, and it should amount to about 20-30 full poems, and the whole thing will be about 70-100 pages *I think*!

The book will be available digitally as well as physically on our bandcamp page, and I'll be funding it using Patreon (YAY! All patrons get it free). It will contain original transcripts of the poems, then neatly typed up versions (as my writing is appalling), explanations to their meaning and some previously unpublished photographs.

It's a big undertaking. Please bear with me.

I will be "thinging" this book by the end of March. Attached is one original transcript but I won't reveal anything else just yet.
