Remember Tyson can choose up to 4 artifacts. If he doesn't bind the alien items, other items will become available with each chapter. He does not need to bind any of these items.

Artifact of Power: Alien Guardian Bracers (Item)
The Alien Guardian Bracers have three properties. They can create temporary Protection Forcefields that shield allies from attacks for a limited time. The nature of the shield makes attacks less likely to land. These bracers can also emit vita-radiation that restores some health to all nearby allies. A large burst of this radiation can be released to increase the metabolism of nearby allies, making them resistant to status effects and increasing their speed, endurance recovery, and damage potential. This item can be used normally becoming inoperable after three uses of Accelerate Metabolism, but binding it as an Artifact gives it special properties.
Artifact Properties: If destroyed it will be recreated and returned to you the following day. It has unlimited charges of Accelerate Metabolism. Additionally, Artifacts have additional traits. Accelerate Metabolism increases libido, instantly rejuvenates any stamina or fatigue from intimate activities, and instantly removes any mind-altering effects not inflicted by the caster.
