2/28/24 Update

The Original Arc One Rewritten as a What If? Is available for the Highest Tier: Ascended Beings.

The next Rogue Update will be middle of next week. 

Progress report:

Arc 6: Still sitting around 40k words, but I went back and edited 2 of the chapters already, which will save me time in the future. Had to refine the outline for the Arc to keep myself on target, but I should make some progress this week.

TNG: This is where most of the past two weeks have been spent. I've been agonizing over what to do with this story for months. So I wrote two versions of a rewrite.
Version 1: Similar to the original TNG, but without the numbers in the gamer system. Tyson has a drawback that drags him into the Mirror Universe. The story follows the plot of TNG and Mirror Gamer, but with only one Tyson, no mirror counterpart. Mostly a rewritten, easier version of the original stories that I should be able to get through quickly since I'm mostly editing already written work. Draft currently at 60k words.
Version 2:  This one is a Celestial-forge Style story. If you aren't familiar with the Celestial Forge, it's a Jumpchain story format where for every 2k words, the protagonist earns a random perk. I threw in the caveat that he can earn a perk or drawback. It's been rather fun to do, as it fulfils my Gamer drives, but doesn't require as much work and tracking of stats on the backend. This story starts the same as TNG, but because of the random nature of the Perk draws, diverts pretty quickly. Since I'm not able to reuse as much of my already written work, it's coming along slower but is shaping up rather nicely as its own story. Draft currently at 30k words.

I'm rather convinced I'll stick with Version 2. The last TNG update was in September. My goal is to have the first chapter of the rewrite posted 6 months to the day since the last update. To hit that mark on time, I'll have to put it up for Ascended Beings by the 12th of March.
