News: Some Info about my current situation and February Release.

Hello everyone.

Today I have some not so good news. January has been a very hard month for me and my family on the personal. I have been forced to spend a lot of time away from home and thus my workplace and inevitably this has affected my work routine and the schedules I normally follow. In this post I will try to give you an idea of ​​how I am managing work and what you can expect in relation to the February release. Let's go point by point.

February release.

The next release is the part most affected by this situation, so I will talk about it first. The theme of the February release is Dragons once again. The work is practically done but there are still some details to be tweaked in greater or lesser quantities depending on the model, and above all it is necessary to divide them into pieces and make the test prints. They are large models and some of the poses are somewhat complicated, so I need that test print to make sure that at least with a base they stand up correctly, and are usable and useful on the tableboards. Here's the work so far and bellow what's left for each one.

Cosmic/Celestial Dragon. Work almost finished. Add some textures. Cut into parts. Test print.

SteamPunk Dragon. Work almost finished. Cut into parts. Test print.

Robot Dragon. Work in progress. Refine pose. Finalize pieces. Add details. Cut into parts. Test print.

Forest Dragon. Work finished. Cut into parts. Test print (not essential).

All this pending work will mean a delay with respect to the usual publication times, but I'm working at the normal pace at the moment so I hope the release post will be ready no later than February 5th. There won't be a Preview post this month, but I hope this post gives you an idea of ​​the models.

Additional December miniature.

In December we didn't have a vote to choose the next release theme, so to make up for that I was going to publish a free miniature for Tier Executive patrons. This miniature will be delivered during the month of February to those patrons, and will also be available for purchase on MMF at a reduced price for the rest of the patrons.

Although I don't have anything made worth showing, I can describe the model: The miniature will be a Sci-Fi model, The Wanderer (one of the examples I used during "Make This Mini!"). It depicts an astronaut in a classic full spacesuit, the front of his helmet destroyed, revealing his head as an animated skull. The character is in mid-jump, floating in space.

Voting for the March release.

Since I still have days of work left until I finish the February release, we have time to do a poll for the March release. However, we can't do it through patreon, since there wouldn't be enough days before entering the next period.

As a workaround, you will receive a poll form through private messages, only to those of you who are Executive Tier at the moment. The deadline to answer the survey will be about 5 days.

November 2024 Archives.

So far I have not received any news of any serious incident related to the problem we had with the MMF Shared Library, so I consider that the solution we used to share the October and December archives has worked.

Continuing with this, you should receive the email to redeem the November 2024 archives no later than this Saturday, February 1st.
