Kobold Warband - July Monthly Release

As you approach the foot of the mountain you may hear a terrible commotion. Squeals and the sound of drums set the pace as a host of little creatures prepare for battle.

This month, our launch is The Kobold Warband. A set of miniatures and some markers on these scaly enemies. Use them for your rpg campaigns or as substitutes for enemies in any game. Or even as unexpected heroes! Actually, in our last survey we had an interesting draw again, but I finally settled on the kobolds, as they are mostly considered a challenge for beginners. So I hope this can help bring more new players to your table!
Let's go with the minis!

First we have the bulk of their ranks. A group of fierce fighters with a variety of weapons, and also several possible roles. Not all kobold will mindlessly jump into battle. Some know how to keep their distance and others prefer stealthier tactics. And it's not uncommon for these strange dragon worshipers to be able to muster enough magic to produce their own sorcerer.

But not all kobold have the role of fighter. Straining something into the cook's pot can put the entire troop to sleep, and avoid the fight. And neutralizing the drummer will ensure that no one gives the alarm signal. (And the drum comes as a separate file, for any other purpose)

To close the set we have four markers. They could act as spawn points or just targets of your quest, but the kobolds will strive to protect all of them with their lives.

This is all! A good group of enemies to start your heroes in combat. But don't take them easy, with a good organization they can be a real threat quickly.

Let's continue! With the new month, it's time to renew our discount code. As a reminder, this is a code with which you will get a 60% discount on MyMiniFactory in any of our previous releases, in case you miss one!

Finally, I wanted to inform you that this month I am going to delay the voting for a few days, since this time we will make a jump and vote for the September launch, so that I can adjust my schedules taking into account the vacation time. The August release is already decided and I'll announce it next week! So stay tuned!

*Files were removed at the end of the month. A new link with the files will be sent in a few days. Thank you! *

Jimminee Krunkle

Received. You are awesome!

Jake Jacobs

The message with the link is marked as "pending" but it should be out soon this time. If it is no bother, please confirm me when you receive it. Thank you very much!

Carlos Montero

It was supposed to be send two weeks ago, but if it isnt there probably there was a problem. Will check it and reach you again.

Carlos Montero

Hi I think I missed the July rewards for some unknow reason.

Kim Alberto

Did I miss the email being sent out? Sorry for being a pest.

Jake Jacobs

Hi! I just came back from my vacation days, so I couldn't send it before. I will have the files ready and sent before the weekend!

Carlos Montero

Did the July release link email go out yet? Thanks!

Jake Jacobs

Thank you for sending them out later. I have several Patreons that do not post the links for the month until after yours are deleted and its a mess trying to coordinate getting all my files at end of month.

Thomas Anders

I have sent you a message!

Carlos Montero

Hi SK, I'm trying to purchase these previous sets and use the discount but the code doesn't work. Also, I want to purchase the Frost Land Set, but it's not in the shop, let me know how I can purchase those, thanks!

If it helps I now use Lychee slicer for my supports. I start with medium auto supports and then search for islands using the highest setting available in the free version then auto support those with light supports. Then auto brace and it’s good to go. Does not take a huge amount of time as it is mostly just going through the steps. Touch wood I find it very reliable. I then slice and save in chitubox. Hope this helps as over time I have tried loads of slicers but Lychee works best for me so far. There are plenty of vids on YouTube as well.

Tadgie

Ey Chuck Harris, using PrusaSlicer autosupports + chitubox + photon file validator has saved me tons of time. Specially the latter as it allows you to see which layers has unsupported islands before printing.

Carlos Montero

I thought about SDE too :D

Carlos Montero

Hi! I think I made a post about it, but it was a long time ago, so it's a good idea to explain myself again. Adding the option pre-supported minis has not been in my plans since I cannot consider myself an expert in supporting miniatures (I usually use auto supports for my own minis), and that is why I could not offer you something of what I am not 100% sure. Due to some recent changes, I can mark it now as a "maybe", but it will still take some time and it will be first just as a test.

Carlos Montero

Agreed. I have a huge backlog of minis to print for my HQ game because of the time to iteratively add supports, see what doesn't print correctly, add more supports, and repeat. While I appreciate that I need to learn how to add better supports, that takes time.... Thanks!

Chuck Harris

Any plans to presupport these awesome files? I'd pay a few more bucks a month if so!

Brent Boeckman

Is there a SDE Discord?

Pedro Castillo

Your on SDE discord too? (chubaka here). We wanted to say that we have to tell about this warband on the discord but Darkcrono was quicker!

zacl

I thought about SDE immediatly too. I love the markers. I'm not fan of square base. I prefer round or baseless.

zacl

Sweet!

SirDrakey

Looks great! 3 of the terrain markers would be perfect for a custom Spawn Point in Super Dungeon Explore!

Pedro Castillo

Very cool mini's
