Happy New Year Update

Hi everyone,

I hope you've all been keeping safe and well and 2022 is going to bring you all contentment and security!

It has been a bumpy route into 2022 for me. I got covid just after Christmas which hit me pretty hard. I've been working to make up for lost time with being unable to work which has pushed a ton of things that I had planned, back for me.

Because of this, unfortunately, I won't be able to do our monthly live Q & A for January. I'm gutted about this but I just can't fit it into the schedule this week. But fear not, I will have it next Friday at 5.30pm Irish time (slightly later than usual) AND will have some extra prizes to give away to make up for missing January!

I hope you all will forgive me and understand that I'm deeply sorry to miss a month, I thoroughly enjoy the Q & A with you all.

So mark your diaries for next Friday and fire over your usual questions!

Take care,

Al

I'm just elated I'll be able to catch this one. I haven't been able to catch one since the summer months, I think. Hurray for snow days, I suppose. Hope you are on the mend now. I'm late in the game here, but I'll list some questions for shiggles anyway...skip over any you've answered before. I don't typically catch the Q&A replay. 1. Do you think you'd like fame? Would you like to be famous (more so than you are now 🎬)? 2. Do you still have your childhood teddy bear (or something you treasured from then)? 3. What is the winter like in Ireland? What's the biggest amount of snow you've witnessed in your lifetime? 4. What is one of the stupidest purchases you've made? LAST ONE 5. Is Irish difficult to learn? Is it like any other language, if you don't use it- you lose it? Hope you are back to feeling 100%! OOOOs, respectfully

Sorry to hear you had Covid. I hope you’re feeling better and the rest of the year is kinder to you.

Question: Can you recommend any books on Irish history around the early 1800s. My paternal grandfather's family came from County Down, Northern Ireland. My great, great grandmother was born there in 1810. I can't find much about her but am very curious as she died on a February 22 and I was born on a February 22.

Linda

Hope you are feeling better soon.

Linda

I’m so sorry you got hit with it, but I hope you’re feeling better. You take care of you! I’ll be there to tune in next week 😊🖤

We had a stomach bug go around our house at Christmas and Covid two weeks ago ... it's been rough around here, too. Hope you're feeling better and things get back to normal soon!

Kathy Balch

Did you enjoy your Christmas dinner? Did you get any good Christmas pressies? What is your favourite feel good song? What do you think about Colin hosting a podcast and the show creating NFTs?

Kate September

Sorry you had to deal with Covid and no worries on the Q&A. You had a very valid reason for it not being in January. Hope you are feeling better now. ❤️

Pip

So sorry to hear you have been poorly Allen hope you on the road to recovery and will be fighting fit again soon. Don't worry about missing the Q&A today you and your health come first. Take care and stay safe and will see you next Friday xxx

Toni

Sorry you had such a rough start to 2022 - it can only get better. Looking forward to next week's Q&A and the extra prizes!

Kate September

As far as excuses go, I'd say that's a valid one. I suffered with Covid this month too and its awful, it can take some time to recover, I'm still working on that. Look forward to joining the Q&A next week. Now, my question: Is there a specific Irish delicacy, food or drink, that you think everyone should try at least once? Also, what's your favourite Irish myth and are there any ghost stories or urban legends centred around where you live?

Kate Baro

Don’t worry and I hope you are feeling better! ✌🏻💕

Hopefully I'm off for it. We've got a one in, one off thing starting for weekends but after the 3 Saturdays I've had in a row off (2 theatre trips), I've got a feeling I'll be on shift :(

Caitlin Norris

Don't start!

Caitlin Norris

Don’t apologise just give me more time to think of Liverpool questions to wind Caitlin 😜
