We're back!

We figured we'd post this here first since you are all our most loyal people. Workbench is back but it's evolving. As far as Patreon goes though, we're moving along as normal, but you'll probably see some additional BTS of where a lot of the elements we post here come from. Hopefully you'll find that interesting. Thanks for sticking with us, and we hope you'll enjoy our new direction.

We're stoked to hear that. We always got a lot of comments from beginners about how they couldn't follow what we were doing, so I'm glad to see that we helped you along. Thanks for sticking with us!

So nuts! Stoked to see yall back. Your tutorials were essential in getting me from a beginner to advanced motion designer. Cant wait to see what's next for WB!

Hi Andy! Thanks! Before I bought this monitor, I had the same question: I thought the curve might bother me. But after using it for a few minutes, my brain just made it work. The curve on this one isn't very extreme. Honestly, I wouldn't mind a little more curve. This one is the LG 49". I don't think they've updated it. Overall resolution is 5120x1440. My older monitors were 2 x 2560x1440 so it's basically what I had without something in the middle to annoy me. It makes it WAY more functional. It's difficult to imagine, but it is soooo much more useful because I don't have to be on one side or the other with my windows. It's great for any tasks where I have to compare multiple things, like scripts and storyboards or multiple web-pages. I do wish the resolution were a little bit higher, but on the flip side there's less video ram used than a 4K display would require. I'd say maybe sometimes I could use slightly more vertical height, but that's really rare. Before I often needed way more width and frequently. It's excellent for timelines, etc. And even if you really needed more vertical height in some programs, you can usually rearrange things and make wide work a ton better than you'd expect. I'd recommend it unless you just have to have retina resolution. From he distance I sit, it's really not an issue for me. Hopefully that helps!

Hey there! Greetings from sunny Singapore. Right off the bat, it's great to see you peeps 'in the flesh' again on YT :) Somewhat unrelated, but my eyes were drawn to your fancy ultrawide monitor. What make is it? I've been switching between a single/dual monitor setup for umpteen years and had one LG 34" ultrawide several years back but just didn't quite worked for me, as I found it a tad 'small' and not quite tall enough. Couldn't find the 'right' ultrawide for mographing and editing with the right resolution, brightness and colour accuracy. However, I do appreciate the allure of having ONE panel with sufficient real estate, and not having to colour calibrate 2 monitors and not getting them looking the same! Does the curve bother you at all when working in C4d/designing with a lot of straight lines? Thanks for all the great content! Andy
