Quick note

Hi everyone! It's hard to even type an exclamation point at this moment I'm so tired. If you saw my tweet today—and I'm sorry I didn't mention it here first as I try to do that—we got pinched by client requests this week. Sev, bless him, even thought yesterday that he might be able to get a tutorial done today. And I told him not to even try.

We were working all day yesterday and then some. I got out here around 8 am, he arrived shortly after. We basically sat here, with only a few breaks, until 2 am. I'm running on four hours of sleep at this point because I take my daughter to school in the morning. And there's more to go.

And I know we're not alone. This isn't the first time this has happened to any of us and while we'd all like it to be the last, let's face it—in this industry, we often get screwed because of other people's failure to plan. Unfortunately this last minute client isn't our own, so here we are. But side note: how does one manage to have an annual conference and then take until the week before to get information and confirmation to artists? Ugh.

Anyway, I'm not trying to give you a sob story. I just want to write a quick note on borrowed time to let you know what's up. I'd like to make this space a little more personable when we can so you guys know what's going on with us and we can have ourselves a little community!
