Switching to Monthly payments
Added 2017-09-01 23:08:13 +0000 UTCHi everyone! At some point soon, we'll be switching over to monthly payments. We'll just expand the tiers so that they'll correspond to the new values. For example the $3 per video tier will become $12/month. From what we can tell—since there's surprisingly little info on how to actually do this switch with respect to the tiers—you'll have to update your pledges to fit the new tiers since I can't modify ones with pledges. It also has to happen at the beginning of the month or else we'll lose existing paid content or something. That bit is a little strange. I've already made a paid post this month, so we'll likely do it at the beginning of next month.
Part of the reason behind this is that we post paid content on a consistent basis, so it makes more sense to be monthly. We honestly should've gone with monthly tiers initially.
When it's available in our account, we're also going to implement up front charging since our content is basically available as soon as you sign up for a tier. We've had a couple of people pledge at higher tiers and cancel their pledge so they could get the scripts and things we had available without paying anything, which kind of sucks.
So, for most of you guys this won't change a thing, but we want to let you know in advance so you can make sure you're able to switch over with us and still get your proper rewards! We'll send out another message when we make the switch. Thanks for helping to support us!
