August update news

⚔️ Greetings Trappers!🐉

Welcome to the middle of the month! We've had some fantastic news this month already with our new Partner programs with both Atlas 3D Support Solutions and Chronicle Cards. Each offering our members some fantastic discounts on their quality products and with Chronicle Cards also offering up brush sets for our Painting Competition! 

Model Updates

• Spirit Hopper - one ear detailing was updated. 
• God of Life - Gods of the Lost Continent - Right arm (holding snake) had no drainage holes. These have now been added. Also void in snakes head filled.
• Human Monk - Masters of the Elements - base size remains the same (25mm); model and inserts in base changed for a 32mm sculpt (was originally 40mm).
• Fingler - Monsters of the Multiverse - Presupported STL for Base B fix improved upon as there were super-tiny dimples that lychee didn't register in the STL, but which did get flagged in some other slicing software. All fixed now.
• Wizard Dragon (also called Halio Wizard Dragon) - Dragonstriker Pack - voids in the base have been filled, also a presupport that was fusing with the body has been moved.

Spirit Hopper

Eagle eyed of you will spot that in our model updates there's mention of the Spirit Hopper from last month's Quest. Due to how we were unable to fix the hopper prior to release and the quest system is now over; we are releasing the Spirit Hopper free to ALL Backers this month, this includes our Loremaster Tier. You can find the model in your monthly downloads for August right now. 

ps yes we are aware that the faulty ear is still showing in the render - hoppers are notoriously difficult to keep still for renders/photos so we've have to make do with the previous render. 

Loyalty Model

August is indeed a loyalty model release month where any backer with 6 months continuous backing of us, including this month, will be eligible for the newest loyalty model; The Soaring Lodge.
The model is still in development and we are working hard to get it parted and presupported for you all!

In addition you can get help 3D printing; show off your prints and your paintings; chat about games; share your hobby interests and more.

August's Painting Contest!
Deadline to enter is the 27th August

RULES TO ENTER  CONTEST:

To enter this months contest, all you have to do is paint one of our miniatures and post a clear photo of it in either the Facebook group, Discord server, or on Instagram by tagging @dragon_trappers_lodge AND using the hashtag #DTLPaintingContest in your post! Make sure you use the hashtag so we know it’s actually a submission (the exception to this is if you submit through the #painting-contest channel on Discord)! The models can be from any set and include the welcome pack or loyalty models and can be printed at any size (this does not include cross promotion models). You may enter as many times during the month as you'd like (must be separate models, though). You can do whatever you'd like for the bases and you may submit a diorama but you don't have to. Get as creative as possible! If you win a prize you may not win a prize for the next two months! In the event of any ties, The Dragon Trappers lodge will cast their vote(s) as the tie breaker. The deadline for submission is the 27th of Each Month @ 23:59 MST.

Remember, each entry is for just one model. If you paint a group please be sure to have at least one individual model photo. If you have several models of the same kind in different schemes please be sure to note if you are submitting one of the group or each one as its own submission (separate votes etc...)
