Added 2022-11-11 22:56:29 +0000 UTCHello Fellow Trappers!
We hope you are enjoying this months Astral Sea set! To recap what we have planned December will be our Dragons War set, January will be the Farmomancer set, and now we must vote for February. Leave your vote for your favorite theme below and remember that if your vote doesn't win it doesn't mean it is gone forever. Also if you missed our announcement about partnering with One Page Rules then read it here. We will now be making OPR compatible armies so keep that in mind when voting!
May Your Blades Stay Sharp And Your Flesh On Your Bones!
1. The Simiax Legions
Deep in the mountainous jungles of Central Letona resides a powerful empire known as the Simiax Legions. A brutalistic and warlike society of sentient apes rule over crumbling rules overtaken by vines. Dark magic has allowed them to breed massive brutes of monstrous proportions and the time for war has come. This set would be a jungle set featuring various ape characters. Chimpanzee warriors and mages, evil Orangutan Priests, Gorilla elites, Golden lion tamarins riding giant toucans. Perhaps leopard war mounts or other jungle creatures? Massive gorilla beasts reminiscent of king kong with golden armor. What sort of lodge would something like these brutal fighters have? What kind of dragon would one find lurking in their Jungles? This set would be fresh and new with a darker tone and also be usable as an official army using the 'One Page Rules' ruleset. Let us know what you want to see!
2. Invasion of The Oni Warlords
The wise no not to enter the badlands of Okinja for it is home to the fearsome Oni. The 4 Oni Warlords are no longer content with their exile however and have amassed hordes of demonic servants and now march on the rest of Okinja with their waves of oni. This set would explore the evil demons and entities of East Asian mythology and would have a dark gritty tone. Corrupted asian dragons, and Oni riding demonic war beasts are a few of the imagery we have for this set. Maho blood mages, and vengeful spirits. We want our warlords to be huge imposing giants embodying evil itself. Maybe a kaiju lodge of some sort? This set would be a one page rules compatible army and fill a niche in the asian themed army category. Leave your vote below!
3. The Dwarshka Clockworks
Massive clockwork tanks crawling across the battlefield on sturdy brass legs firing magical shots form their massive cannons. A clockwork dragon blasting enemies with burning steam, and Dwarshka soldiers forming lines of soldiers wielding ax guns. In the DTL world Dwarshka are our version of dwarves, Sturdy artificers with a Slavic look. This would be a continuation of the Dragons War story with the Dwarshka Czars joining the fight against Incadriox the demon dragon. For a lodge I can imagine a massive crawling fortress with intricate Dwarshka carvings. Ibex war mounts found in their homelands and ridden by the legendary Dwarska Mountain Rangers. This set would be also be an official playable army for One Page Rules. If you want burly bearded warriors in awesome fantasy crawlers then vote below!
4. Dragons of The Lodge
The Lodge is famous for hunting and trapping dragons but not all dragons are a threat. Some are good and can be negotiated with or even befriended. On occasion some of these dragons have been known to join the lodge to help deal with their more nefarious or problematic kin. This set would focus on these dragons. These dragons would be unique with an emphasis on their character and personality. A dragon cook? A dragon blacksmith? Maybe a dragon lodgemaster? We would also explore a variety of sizes of dragons in this set from dragon wyrmlings up though ancients so you can have a range of dragon ages to use in your games. We'd love to see what sort of dragon characters you could come up with. Something to keep in mind is that this set would not have as many models as there would not have "minion monsters" and would instead be focusing on a handful of unique dragons with less poses and variations. It also likely will not work as an army for those who care about that.

Really sad that none of the OPR collabs won. As a warhammer would love to see that crossover concept take off
