A very difficult video for me to put together from a technical perspective because the trial gave me very little to work with. From very light evidence, to many witnesses not wanting their faces to be shown.
I'm happy with how it came together despite that.
I'm interested to hear your thoughts on whether the system got this one right or wrong.

Any and all feedback is always what i'm looking for and I appreciate your thoughts! I'm glad you resonated with this video. When I first dived into it I was actually waiting for the bad cop story as well, and was surprised when everyone acted with such intense humanity!

They did everything right and then to have their daughter stolen like that over something so fucking inconsequential, negates my belief in a benevolent god. Crying again…that Dad’s speech…. You did a fantastic job, btw. Even with so little visuals - I love the way you edited the police footage with their in-court appearances. I was so worried it was a ‘bad cop’ story, though, and on high alert waiting for a show down, I forgot there were less visuals than normal. Meaning, I don’t think you need to restate the lack of video twice. Just that first note at the start. Bringing it back up when you begin to dive deeper into the testimony is unnecessary. At least for me: I was already hooked. It’s like when you give someone a gift and then immediately lower their expectations because you’re worried they won’t like it by saying, “well, it’s not that great” or “this is all I could find”, etc. Don’t worry! We know it’s a gift! We’re gonna love it cuz we know it’s from you and you always give us your best. That’s just my two cents! (Sorry if that’s not what you are looking for. )

2025-04-16 19:09:45 +0000 UTCI’m not sure about the verdicts (though based on testimony - even though unreliable - and motive would prob be enough to convince me) but commenting to say I appreciate how much time you dedicated to honoring Benetria. Instead of just glossing over her life, or mentioning her in passing, I truly think your effort into humanizing the victims of these crimes is what sets you apart. 💜
