What Is Your Favorite Set?

October '21 was just the perfect culmination in quantity and quality of every angle. The perfect release.

It's so hard to decide, I had initially just selected them all, but I realized that would kind of defeat the purpose. So I narrowed it down to sets that either inspired me or had the perfect model for what I was looking for at the time. I kept to sets that I had with one exception though, July 2020. A really cool set in its own right, but most importantly because it has the model that made me subscribe in the first place: Sharkasaurus. I saw DTL advertised on a Black Magic Craft video for the December 2020 set, saw Sharkasaurus as a throwback model, and fell in love with it. As soon as I saw it I had a perfect late-game place for it in my campaign as a hybrid monster from a mad scientist. (Ravnica themed campaign and it's practically a perfect Category 3 Krasis.) The December 2020 set easily stands on its own. However, without Sharkasaurus I can't say for sure if I would have subscribed at the time or not, because I didn't have a 3D printer yet. In fact, I might not have even gotten into the hobby at all. But it was there, and I did subscribe, so there's no point dwelling on what ifs.

I printed every single one of those pumpkins :) Murica runs on pumpkins.

It's fascinating to me as a non-American just how much y'all love pumpkins and skeletons as a culture, Halloween is fun and I get that, but it's still just hilarious to me having options like "savannah hunters" or "tundra hunters" and people going "ooooh, add pumpkin!" Was a great set, can't doubt that, but it was the sort of set that internationals get to go ??? at

March and August 2021. March because its when i joined (and because it is just an amazing release) and August because i'm Canadian and it was awesome to see that release.

Unfair to not put EVERYTHING as an option for this poll. I picked the Kaiju b/c that is one that I went and bought from MyMiniFactory page. I am slowly going and getting files that I don't have yet from there since I am a relatively new patron

There are so many great ones it's hard to choose! I limited my picks to only sets i had. Both the april jungle set and the August boreal set were just excellent. For ones I don't have, i was actually tempted to put December 2020 in here too. There are so many models i desperately want in it, but it also has the dolphin munchkins which were enough to get me to put it in my least favorite set. Everything else in it looks amazing though.
