Hello Fellow Trappers!
We're doing a cross promotion with Ravenous Hordes on Kickstarter by Resin Warfare!
They've very kindly given our patrons a free model called the "Black Guard Veteran"! You can get that model by heading to our release post and using the My Air Bridge link!
When you back their Kickstarter you'll receive the following:
- More than 180 unique models
- Themed battle effects
- Themed magical spells
- Themed scenery
- Other props for ambience
This is a whole army of rat men with infantry, monsters, heroes, war machines, beasts and 6 factions, one of them being Demon Rats. Many of the units, heroes, machines, and monsters have modular parts so you can have a lot of variety in your horde.
You can trust that their models will be easily printable as they have loads of experience with 3D printing and know the best ways to print, make support structures, and what to fix in order to make a miniatures more printable.
You will receive both the original file and the pre-supported version! All previously tested on Anycubic Mono SE.
Don't let this chance pass to unleash the swarm! This is a huge bundle that you will regret not getting!

I was a bit upset with the huge difference in the pricing of the early bird tiers vs the ones available now but I really liked the models so I backed it as a merchant. I left feedback that the huge price difference was a turn off though.

There was project I backed over a year ago. It's still being worked on. But, it has supporters, and did really well. The creators wanted more money -- eg a cash flow. I can understand it. So they came up with addons. The problem was they did not have a real marketing person, and admitted that. They were very touchy about their numbers, etc. But, they didn't look at the data in front of them. They had almost 3000 followers for their launch between their previous customers and new ones. Previous customers are the only ones who could use the add on. BUT... they only had like 300 early bird slots. They were gone before most of their supporters knew it. Ok. Butt hurt. Yeah. Very. I went around and around with them, and them telling me how little money they made, etc, etc, etc.... I must not have been the only one. Because after about a day, they expanded the early bird for 3 more days. In the end, they made over 3x their wildest expectations... and probably 50% more than they would have if they did not extend the early bird. People would have just walked away. It was a purely digital project, and raked in over $100k for the add on to a project that still wasn't finished after a year. The early bird backfired on them, and started to alienate their supporters. In the end, their mea culpa worked, and they reeled them back in -- and more. Just because people say "you need an early bird" you really don't. It rubs most peeople who are new to you wrong, and offering special figures irks the OCD collectors who may just not pledge because they can't get that figure too. Anyway.... Been following this really closely for almost 2 years. Things are changing.

I understand that. But that is "old" since most projects fund, especially the big ones, etc. The "early bird" actually works as a dis-incentive to get those late pledges. The idea is to offer someting MORE to get the person to pledge, not to offer less or a 50% higer price.

A lot of KS use cheaper first day/earlybird backing options to help encourage an early funding. The sooner they "fund" the better as that often brings in a lot more backers on the sides who won't bid until something is "funded". Furthermore it often acts to reward those who follow early marketing pushes - so often the core fans/customers of the company/firm behind a KS in the first place.
In the end the price difference is honestly tiny when you consider how many STLs you get for this campaign. Even if you only want a few of them its more than worth the cost. Plus its a complete "force" so if you want to use them as an alternate army you've got everything you need from one campaign in one big go.

You're entitled to back or not back whatever you want for any reason, but I don't understand why you were happy to pay $45 until you found out some people got it for cheaper. Yes, its annoying to miss out on a deal, but why does that make the full price less worth paying? It sounds like margins are very tight in the industry right now, and considering how much of a successful Kickstarter's money is made on the first day, I don't begrudge anyone who wants to boost their numbers early on, and reward their most eager fans at the same time.

I guess lol. But it's a shame. People copy "bad" behavior without thinking it through. And, yes, there are costs, but not like stocking/inventorying/delivering physical products. So much has changed with STL's, kickstarter and patreon - and mmf/etc -- in the past year, it pays to reevaluate what you do as a creator and as a consumer. I know in the past two months 5 of the patreons I've followed have called it quits after 1 year. Moved on. :( I wonder if they had reevaluated their "methods" or approach if they would have continued. Others are changing what they offer and how they offer it. Most are slowing down, not speeding up. They are wearing out. Oh well. The only constant is change.

I got a mailing on this, and checked it out yesterday. I was about to pledge, til I saw the "all in" pledge was 45 but the early bird was 30. That's 50% more because I didn't know about it early on. I sent the creator a message, about the early bird, and his reply was one I've heard too many times before, and included about how little money he makes on a kickstarter. So for me it was a pass. :( Too bad. It seemed like a neat project, but at that premium for not knowing about it earlier. And to listen to how he's complaining about not making money with a $54k total pledge for something "that started out as a personal project..." Too many un-fun things here. :( Kickstarter is the only place where the price goes up as the clock ticks down. Sort of reverse psychology, and one that good retail NEVER employs. :( Oh well. Plenty of other places to spend stl dollars. Like patreons ;) (BTW: I've backed 280 kickstarters)
