Vote for September 2021 Theme
Added 2021-06-14 22:46:35 +0000 UTCHello Fellow Trappers!
We hope you are enjoying this months kaiju trappers and we can't wait to see what you paint up from this months release! The July set will be the Dragonstrike Set and August will be the Frontier set. We are working to prepare our sets earlier ahead of time so that we can get them out on time and be able to work on other projects at the same time. So what would you like to see for the September set?
Arctic Trappers
This set would be cold icy themed and take place far above the northern regions of Stoica and Okinja in brutal and desolate cold. Some ideas we have for this set include; a sentient snowman trapper with rage issues, a crystalline ice dragon or maybe a walrus dragon instead? a mammoth like centaur, an Inuit inspired druid with wild shape forms. The possibilities are endless.
Savanah Trappers
This set would take place on the great Savanah grasslands of Letona. This set would be inspired by the mythology of the African Savanah. This one would require more research and fleshing out but that also means more room for suggestions. Likely lot of tribal characters and anthropomorphic races like Felis (aka leonine/tabaxi). Perhaps a snake dragon? Giraffe or elephant inspired mount with mobile base?
Subterranean Trappers
Deep below the surface of the earth are vast net works tunnels and caverns, home to all manner of people and monsters. There is no where trappers won't go and this set would feature individuals specialized for working in the darkness of the world beneath the surface. Dwarves, aberrations, burrowing dragons, rock monsters, giant moles, maybe a steampunk twist? You name it.
Sub Aquatic Trappers
we've done lands and pirates but what about a set that is fully underwater? Merfolk? kraken? or maybe instead of merfolk we go for more of a submersible theme with the trappers in their own mobile aquatic base? Deep sea horrors? What creatures lurk in the depths where only dragon trappers dare to venture?
May your blades stay sharp and your flesh on your bones!

Dang, I love all of these, but I think Savannah takes it for me.

2021-06-15 18:46:55 +0000 UTCI can't IMAGINE what y'all would come up with for Subterranean!!!!!

2021-06-15 18:44:56 +0000 UTCMan, I don't know if I could ever fight a pangolin dragon, they always look like they're about to apologize for interrupting you. A pangolin mount would be *adorable,* although now that I think about it that was basically what the Raya and the Last Dragon concept art for Tuk Tuk was...

2021-06-15 16:58:21 +0000 UTCAs savanna takes the lead, as far as enemy inspiration, I would like to point out that there are very few things I find more unsettling than the just-slightly-too-long legs of a serval.

2021-06-15 16:55:37 +0000 UTCI keep coming back to the idea of a Lungfish dragon that spends its time in the mud of waterholes waiting for the rainy season to come. And a dire ostrich?

2021-06-15 14:53:59 +0000 UTCI just want a giant jerboa, dire meerkat, and pangolian dragon sculpts 🥺

2021-06-15 12:02:03 +0000 UTCI'm may be wrong but I don't think we have had anything from ice and snow yet, we have had aquatic and desert so I'm going arctic trappers :)

2021-06-15 03:17:23 +0000 UTCCheck out What The Hellemental Creations for Savannah themed beasts and characters. I worked really hard on them :) Dragon Trappers Lodge has always been a huge inspiration.

2021-06-15 02:26:27 +0000 UTCI just released a Savannah set on my own patreon at What The Hellemental Creations with an epic elder storm elemental rhino.

2021-06-15 02:23:27 +0000 UTCNormally, I'm all about snow and ice. But Savannah taps a theme that isn't explored often. Seeing a positive fantasy treatment of Black people and African mythology would be AWESOME! It would definitely require a lot of research and some sensitive handling, but I have faith in y'all, given the dedication and attention you've put in to previous releases. :]

2021-06-15 01:22:14 +0000 UTCI am loving the aquatic idea. Thalassophobia is prevalent in my minds, and creatures of the deep will always eat your toes. I'm looking forward to Fins, tentacles, and Angler fish-type faces!

2021-06-15 01:01:30 +0000 UTCI was hoping for Arctic, but since it doesn't look like it's got it, then Savanah. Anything but subterranean please!
Lee Wendel
2021-06-15 00:24:04 +0000 UTCI hope to see all of these sets in the next year! For now I've chosen Sub Aquatic, because I'm planning to run an extensive underwater episode one day. But I can be patient if it doesn't happen immediately.

2021-06-14 23:37:03 +0000 UTCIf Aquatic wins, how does a turtle-duck hybrid sound?

2021-06-14 23:34:13 +0000 UTCI like them all, but can we please, please have another medium-sized mount? I miss them, and I don't want the giant mobile lodges to get stale.
2021-06-14 23:30:10 +0000 UTCAquatic would be awesome. Looking at other 3D modelers the hobby is already littered with subterranean models.

2021-06-14 23:26:27 +0000 UTCI'm just about to start an aquatic campaign, and still, I still voted for Savannah, that's how good an idea I think it could be.
Josh Rodell
2021-06-14 23:12:50 +0000 UTCCould do a terrasque with the Subterranean theme, since it sleeps at the planet's core, although I suspect whatever trapper group it's paired with would likely be wildly unqualified to take such a beast on.
2021-06-14 23:02:11 +0000 UTCHalf-Yeti Trapper that rides a Wolly Rhino. Snow Trolls for a native monster race and a Fur Pelted White Dragon. Something along those lines please
House Hendoe
2021-06-14 23:00:21 +0000 UTCI'd honestly be pleased as punch to have a separate release for a Subterranean theme and a more sinister Underdark-adjacent theme at some point. Maybe a beholder dragon, a drow trapper, and maybe even the majestic flumph!
2021-06-14 22:59:07 +0000 UTCI love the idea of aquatic horrors, having been unseen by mortals in living memory.
