Poll 2 of 3, Small Mounts Vs Big Mounts

Hello Fellow Trappers!

Last month saw the release of the Lodgeback Snapper and it was very popular. We saw many people print it and we hope to see even more people paint it. This month will release another large "mount" mini, the Kaiju hunting airship, "The Gilded Spirit". We know these types of models are large and time intensive as well as use a lot of resin but they are also awesome and epic to put on the table. Do you want to start seeing a large scale mobile base type mount every month or our regular 50mm base mount that we have done in the past every month?

May your blades stay sharp and your flesh on your bones!

How about a middle of the road option. I like the big monsters just not every month.

Went with "no". but meaning "every now and then". More smaller stuff is better, IMO. And 40-50 mm base is "small" compared to that turtle ^^

Gunter Schmidt

Hell yeah! Massive mounts are the way to go. It blows people away when you drop one of those bad boys on the table. They stand out, are beautiful, intimidating and just a heck of a ton of fun. Please give us more.

every now and then!

I'm right there with most of these comments: smaller mounts most of the time with the large epic mounts every once in a while.

DreadPirateLynx

I think maybe a large mount quarterly is fine, We dont need one every month

Michael Abraham

Agreed, I'd love to see a "mix it up" option.

SAShenanigans

As others have mentioned, I love both, but I'll probably have more utility for the smaller mounts; so an alternating scheme would be great.

Travis McGruder

I concur with the 3rd option of every now and then

Anjya Struble

I'd appreciate 75% small mounts and 25% large big mounts. The big ones are very cool, but I'm not going to be printing them regularly.

Jaecen

Big boys once every 3 to 6 months feels right to me

ryan kowalski

I think every month is a bit much, but I do think big bois are a good thing. so 3rd option!

I like the small mounts, but a large one every now and then would be awesome

Aaron Fry

I would love large stuff every few months because it's epic, but trying to print that stuff every month would be a nightmare.

Ryan Pipkin

I'm fine with either or. It's nice to mix it up every now and again, especially if the theme fits. However, I think both types are good.

My favorite part of every release is the smaller monsters. Please keep things reasonable for us resin printers! Or at least include a version that's all one piece so we can scale it down ourselves.

I think this, of all three of the polls, is most asking the wrong question. Would you consider asking a question about what size base of mounts people would most like? I would personally like to see some smaller mounts to fit on 40mm bases as well as seeing some 60 and 75mm based mounts.

Gregory Morris

I love the small mounts. I’d like to add my voice to the 50/50 team, though personally my ideal would be 75/25 in favor of small mounts with the mega mounts as a fun treat once in a while

I no longer want to print with FDM, (I hate the quality). Please make the largest mounts possible, that can be made on most resin printers. Slices permitting.

Sdspecter

In all honesty, you could probably jump back and forth to appease everyone. The larger models are obviously going to take more work, so it shouldn't be expected to get one each month without burning you guys out. Alternatively, and hear me out, what if you technically did both? What if there was a way to have a mount modeled in such a way as to have an interchangeable base or a saddle, just based on the scaled size of the print?

I haven't printed any of the large stuff yet but I think a mix of small and large mounts would be cool. Maybe the larger things like the airship and the turtle could be included every other month?

I'm also on the 50/50 mix is preferred. I love the mounts that you do but some bigger ones would be cool to.

Darren

The small unique mounts are the reason I joined this patreon in the first place

Jeffrey Ernst

How about 50/50? I love the big stuff but realistically I won't paint something that big all that often

Honestly? Some of both would be nice. Some big ones for the wow factor, but also the small ones, for the more standard stuff.
