Hello Fellow Trappers! Lets learn some more about the models for this month!

Coastal Quillback

The Coastal Quill back is a lesser dragon, much more bestial in temperament than their more intelligent cousins. However they are still very dangerous. They are equally agile in the air, water, or on land and can strike at anytime. They're are not particularly temperamental but are instead more cold and calculated, stalking the shoreline looking for prey. They can produce a poison that quickly kills their victims and their sharp spines are dangerous and should be avoided. The best tactic for fighting them is to try and stay out of the water as they will most likely have the advantage. Range weapons and weighted nets have yielded the most success so far.

Coral Shambler

Coral Shamblers, also known as coral golems are constructs usually created by sea witches or other powerful spell casters to do their bidding. Usually they are not an issue but sometimes they may go rogue or their creator might die and they can be come a dangerous problem for fisherman and coastal communities. They are extremely difficult to kill while in the water as they will continuously regenerate. Your best bet is to trap or lure them out of the water where they are much more manageable.

Giant Scuttle Stinger

Giant Scuttle Stingers are massive crustaceans that sport large twin stingers on their tail. These stinger pack a powerful venom that paralyzes their foes where they can then eat them at their leisure. Their powerful claws can crush armor so keep your distance. They are largely ineffective inland but if they get ahold of you can still do some decent damage. The males and females have different coloring with the males being smaller and more colorful and the females having more pastel hues and a larger frame.

Shore Waddlers

Shore waddlers are odd bumbling creatures that can be found along the coast. They eat fish that they case down in the water. They are known to use their modified version of echolocation to be able to track down pearls in the water. Due to this unique ability they are often trained by villagers to bring back pearls in return for fish. They make decent aquatic companions as they can be trained to fetch things in the water or keep unconscious trappers afloat til help can arrive.

Marlow

Marlow is a female Prax from seas of Southern Letona. She is strong and quick but her wits and strategy are what earned her the rank of veteran trapper. Several hundred years ago her conclave was rescued by the Lodge when a Coastal Quillback had been picking off those who strayed too far from the city limits. It was making trade and exploration difficult and they where loosing more and more people every day. After the lodge took care of the Quillback the conclave decided to honor them by holding a contest every decade to find the most adept member of their people in order to send them to join the lodge. To win was a great honor and with it came all the accolades imaginable to the Prax people. Marlow trained to win this contest ever since she was an adolescent. She was almost obsessive and her dedication paid off as when the contest came around she absolutely dominated. Marlow served dutifully and she soon became a valued member of the lodge due to her cunning and skill in strategizing. She eventual y reached the rank of veteran and earned her own squad.

Mastif

Mastif was given to Marlow as a gift when she was just a little girl. They grew up together and Marlow considers Mastif her best friend. Mastif is loyal and playful, he enjoys games of fetch with drift wood and is a valiant protector of Marlow. He gets along well with every member of the squad and he has become somewhat of a mascot for the Oceanic Letona Lodge.

Lee

Lee is a foreigner hailing from the Northern lands of Okinja. He is a ratfolk or a Nezumi as he is known in his homeland. Lee was a pirate before he joined the lodge, robbing merchant ships traveling the oceans to the east of Letona. He had been raised on the sea for as long as he could remember and thieving was all he'd ever known. Eventually they where caught and imprisoned. The Lodge looking for new recruits offered freedom for anyone willing to join. Lee was the only crew member willing to take them up on the offer. Given a second chance, lee turned his life around though his crew mates where not happy at the new direction he was going with his life. To this day members of his former crew seek him out, looking to make him pay for what they consider a betrayal.

Ezra

Ezra always had a reputation as a daredevil and thrill seeker. Hailing from the distant lands of Southern Stoica, Ezra had traveled thousands of miles traveling far and wide looking for the most exotic locations and greatest thrills. On one of his expeditions, the ship he was on was attacked by a dragon. Many of the passengers where killed and many more wounded. Ezra thought this was the end for him but just as he was about give up hope the Dragon Trappers arrived. Marlow saved Ezras life and Ezra believed he owed Marlow a life debt. Marlow insisted that there was no debt to be paid but Ezra insisted that until he returned the favor and saved her life, that he would accompany her as a member of the lodge. 

Boomy

Boomy is a Vanaran from the northern jungles of Letona. He has a mischievous personality and an affinity for explosives and black powder. Many where surprised that he joined the lodge due to the fact that he is deaf. Whether he is deaf because of all the explosives he uses or because he was born that way isn't really certain since every time someone asks him he tells a different story about how he lost his hearing. Despite his sometime too carefree attitude his expertise with explosives make him an invaluable member when dealing with larger dragons and monsters.
