Kodak Tmax 400 (pushed 800) | Sept/Oct 2024

Full roll here, with a few keepers.

I've been loosely working at Gulabi for a year now, called in to cover sickness/holidays etc, but more recently I've been able to scan my own rolls which is something I very much enjoy.

These were done with the Noritsu, and the controls (that I'm currently aware of, at least) have given me the most flexibility over the final result. I still tweak a little in Lightroom after the fact, mostly just dialing in a touch of texture/clarity and bringing the black point down to my tastes, but I'm almost certain that's down to my compulsion to meddle somewhat as I'm used to Lightroom being the place where my photos are completed!

Anyway, boring stuff aside, I loaded this roll during the Ironman competition in Wales last month. About half way through the day, exhausted, we had a quick ten minute nap while waiting for Cory to pass on his bike. That's his partner Ellen under the umbrella, as the stormy weather that threatened to appear all day had finally shown up. Later I grabbed a portrait of Annette (Robyn and Cory's mum), waiting in the rain to hopefully see Cory as he ran past during the marathon section of the Triathlon. The GPS tracker app we were using became unreliable in the town due to the amount of spectators using it too, so we couldn't locate him until the end unfortunately, but getting to see him cross the line was the best part anyway!

There's not much of the Ironman comp as I was mostly shooting the M11.

After that, it's a roll of more dog walks (I'm starting to get out and walk a lot more locally now, trying to improve my fitness and overall health), and then a few scenes in the city as I walk to my next shift in Gulabi and made my way through the last shots so I could get it processed when I arrived, nothing particularly note worthy, but here we are.

Oh, I think this is the first roll of film I've shared here since swapping my Summicron (RIP) out for the Voigtlander Nokton. I love this lens on film!
