24500: Kodak Tmax 400 (pushed 1600) | July 2024
Added 2024-08-04 09:42:35 +0000 UTCI bought ten rolls of Tmax last year to use up during the moody winter months. But that, err, never happened. I almost always loaded a roll of Portra 800 instead. But the time has come to an end, I am almost out of Portra 800 and so I've started shooting my Tmax 400. However, it's that goddamn bright I'm pretty much exclusively shooting my shutter/aperture maxed out 1/1000th, f16) bceause I'm a lunatic that seems to insist on pushing it to 1600. But hey, I like the look of it, and it means I'll likely never miss focus?
The bulk of this roll was actually a trip to Ayr and Irvine beach while one of Robyn's friends was visiting. I think I was just coming out of a period of shooting the M11 again, so was itching to get through a roll of film...
We've not had a particularly great summer in Scotland this year. I often feel that Scotland gets a bad rep, it's nowhere near as wet and miserable as people would have you believe, but this year has been pretty shite. It wasn't cold at all on this beach visit, but the photos look like they were taken in winter.
