Just behind my parents house, the road joins a route called 'The Wolds Way'. I've never walked it, and likely never will - it's 80 mile long. But I do occasionally take a walk up the hill, it's just over a mile and where I would fuck off to when I was a kid. There's a small quarry hidden within the trees, which was much more accessible when I was young. It's so over grown now, I actually left the photo in colour so you could see the chaotic wall of green. At the top of there was where younger me would take a wee rock of resin to get high with when I wanted to be alone, haha. It was fucking rancid, but it's all I could get - I'm unsure if I even remember how exactly I would buy it; Probably from one of the older kids in school.
The three photos at the end of the set are from Dalby Forrest. One of our go to dog walking spots when time allows. We try and get there at least once while visiting family, it gives us change to just fucking slow down and get a breather from the chaos of it all. I didn't take many photos as I was fannying around with my video rig in preparation for the following day filming Cory, Robyn's brother who is training to compete in the Ironman competition later in the year.
He'd gone for an open water swim in Scarborough's North Bay. I got a few shots on video, but rather than putting something together of only that, I'm going to make the effort to join him on a few more training sessions and create a mini-doc leading unto (and hopefully including) the competition.
