Here's the full selection of the photos with Alice yesterday.
Typically when hanging out with people I tend to walk about for a chunk of the day with them, taking photos as we go in various spots that catch our eye - though we didn't really get chance to do that as we were mostly just having a good catch up! So, these photos aren't as varied as I'd like and in fact we probably only spent about 10 minutes taking photos.
There's a couple that I like here though, the first being this one:

I fired this one off as we were talking about something and I like how candid it feels, with Alice looking away from me, just calmly stopped for a moment mid-sentence. Even though we went into the carpark to try avoid the wind, it was still going wild with her hair but that's a bit of movement that I particularly like in this photo.
This was taken with the M10-R and a Voigtlander 35mm f1.4, shot wide open.
The framing I mostly like. I don't find the background distracting, though I feel like her hand at the bottom feels a bit clumsy. I'd have liked to have been stood a foot or so back maybe. I tried cropping it in post, but it took too much of the image away and I felt like I was trying to fix something that didn't necessarily need fixing, so I left it in. It's my favourite from what little we did.
Here's the second photo I like:

It was one of the first I shot, just looking at lightroom there and it's the 4th photo but the first of me coming in closer. The sunlight was a bit too harsh for my tastes, and there's a couple later on that I find more pleasing in the sense of the lighting feeling consistent and not distracting but I do like the pose and feel like Alice is framed nicely within the lines and colours of the graffiti'd wall.
This was taken with the Q2, so at 28mm it's a little wider than the 35's I have on the M10-R. 28mm is my favourite focal length, I feel comfortable framing with 28mm. And even if I do end up cropping in slightly to a 35, I still like how 28 images look. It's marginal, obviously, and could I even tell you in a blind test? Probably not. But the Q2 has an insane sensor and can more than handle a crop should I need to!
