The movie has the score and building tension to really sell it. One of my favorite "this isn't a great movie but it is good and trying for something" movies.

2024-03-26 04:45:23 +0000 UTC13th Warrior is one of those delightful movies that I will always love. I'm an English major. I've read Beowulf almost as many times as I've read Hamlet. I haven't read Eaters of the Dead, but as far as I'm concerned 13th Warrior is the best adaptation of Beowulf. Even better than the one where Angelina Jolie plays motion captured Grendel's hot mom.
