I love that this was your pick! Mike Flanagan is just so talented and one of my favorites. It's amazing to see what he was able to accomplish even on a small budget. Katie Parker is great and it's always fun to see her pop up in his work!

2025-05-14 09:13:16 +0000 UTCI agree with you 100% about this movie. I think it was supernatural and I also think Flanagan did an amazing job with a probably minuscule budget. I first watched this when I discovered Mike Flanagan after watching Hill House. I went on to binge everything he had done up to that point, and have watched everything he has done since. I love him! I didn't remember much about it aside from the tunnel. Katie Parker (Callie) has been in tons of Flanagan stuff. She was Poppy in Hill House, Perdita in Bly Manor, and Annabel Lee in The Fall of the House of Usher. It looks like she also had parts in Dr. Sleep, Oculus, and The Midnight Club (my personal least favorite thing Mike Flanagan has done). She was the only one I recognized from his troop of actors that he likes to use. Considering this was his first film, it's not surprising that he couldn't get a Henry Thomas or a Carla Gugino at that point. I'm so glad that you enjoyed this! It was fun rewatching it with you.
